  1. Close-Up
  2. I think everyone should be an artist cause it makes life a little easier if your eccentric---someone may say "Hey that guy's kinda weird" then someone else could say "He's an artist" then it's oh ok. Anyway that work in progress thing was bugging me so I tuned it a bit more---added a mid-river rock spit and added action to the fish. Hopefully and pretty sure it's finito--Ill add a close-up again Bushart

    Ode To Bob

My wife and I will sometimes watch "The Joy Of Painting" with Bob Ross over a glass of wine. (Everbody needs a friend) Anyway she liked his mountain/lake scenes he could conjure up in the 30 min show and asked me to use his techniques and paint something similiar for her. Well by the time I masked and put the centre insert in we were looking at a couple hours( Snail pace for Bob) Anywho--this ones for Bob --hopefully he keeps smilin down at us from above. Bushart

I should have also stated... 6---I look at inquiries such as these as a compliment as it eludes to that technology has assisted in something that was completed on my own---I guess questioning authenticity is the greatest compliment. Thanks Bushart

Ol Troll 1--I wish I had photoshop 2--It's real and leaning on my wall right now 3--I posted a picture in development in another thread 4--would'nt I look foolish for posting work that was not my own 5--These paintings are just shot with my digital camera and put on the computer and transferred that way Bushart

Ok I've had this one laying around for some time and I just put the finishing touches on it recently. I hang around the Ottawa Valley lots so I definetely had to put in an old stone fence and lots of hills. Bushart
  7. Direct Energy is usually looking for good tradesmen--I would get on the phone to construction contractors in the refrigeration/sheet metal installation companies. Barrie is a bigger centre and will probably pay better than Midland---Like I mentioned in your west question--gas fitter will lead to other trades. On long shot trades--every once in a while you can get into some industrial manufacturers--little harder as most are unionized and apprenticeships usually go internal with seniority. Bushart
  8. I think that's why I do it---You can picture yourself in the perfect place ---no bugs--big fish--no crowds. Thanks Bushart
  9. Back when I was younger and like most dreamed of a career in a fishing show I thought here's a neat twist..... What if you say take a map of Ontario----throw a dart at it--blindfolded or not and go there and make a show.... Now that would be like any Joe average having to find out where to go--where to stay--what fish are there and how you found and caught them. You could end up from the Grand River to Lake of the Woods and any or all points between. The educational portion would be the list of tactics you go through till you hit what worked. Ah but alas it was not to be.
  10. I agree Sam, I watched Getting Hooked once on steelhead--pretty good Some of those others send me scrambling for my converter like.... I wait for the one guy to call his partner "Buddy" for at least 30x before I give up or... The other guy sitting with the boys by the fire in the deck chairs threatening something wild like kicking someone into the water off the end of the dock is a definite eye roller... Another monotone guy that has a show I do find a great cure for insomnia... Growing up I watched all that was available on cable and I believe I learned the most from the old "In-Fisherman" crew.
  11. I'm probably weird but I used to like "Fish Fishburne " on the old TNN network. He was definetely out there but like most say it was not a 30 min. infomercial. If you watched close you could learn something---go team Gramma
  12. See ya on the water
  13. I think I'm soon complete here---I will probably touch a few small things the camera has showed me but It will not be noticeable. I'm fairly happy with this. I threw a couple buddies under the surface near the subject and adjusted the feeder creek. Again I'll attach a close up. Keep yur line in the water Bushart
  14. Little more to do but not much
  15. Ok on a snowy day I'm thinking artwork. Put the subject in and is just about there---going to shade a bit more--course my wife the art critic thought it should be a sockeye but I fished chinook for too many years---so I probably owe them one. I'm going to put a shadowed fish in deeper water. I'll attach a close-up on another screen Bushart
  16. Ok I got back it recently (suffer from a back injury so I paint when it lets me) I did not like those mountains---I "hazed them some" Far shore was crying for a rock shoreline so it's there Put a feeder creek on other side I actually have tried a salmon in different poses but I was'nt happy---my last attempt let gave me an idea so I put the river back together and I think I'm ready now. Bushart
  17. Maybe I'm old fashioned but much of this is trying to rationalize theft. Does it make it right because you did'nt get caught?
  18. On that note...I also belong to that group that was lion bait for the ancient romans. I also believe the place or amount is immaterial---there is right or wrong in this instance--not much gray area. I read earlier in this thread about "In real Life" well in my real life within the last calendar year I was not charged on my credit card for a rental I used while moving---to the tune of 1800.00 dollars---Well I had it budgeted in the plan --so I called the company and asked them to investigate. A mistake by a dealer at the other end--they thanked me and knocked 200 of the price---Even if they did not---As I stated in the first thread as a father and Christian how can I do otherwise. I believe we all need to try in this world to get society to function peacefully. Bushart
  19. Personally I'd take the high road back to LeBarons and pay...the voice in your head can be the most critical of your actions. One point I have not seen in this thread that there is young anglers who read this board---I would like to think our generation may be able to set the proper example to set them on their way....Heaven know there is enough negative things to distract them already. Just a thought. Bushart

    OK Uncle

I believe the onset of cabin fever is about to take place---C'mon Spring!!!! Little difficult holding camera and rod here---definetely need some 08 fotos. Gotta stop lookin at them. Bushart
  21. Amazing once again-cool how yellow those owls' eyes are
  22. Thanks--actually as I look at the update I'm thinking that far shore needs a little hilighting as well. Thanks Again
  23. Hellooo Newman!! Sorry could'nt resist
  24. I would also caution throwing sportfish into the garden---not sure but I believe there's a law about letting them spoil intentionally.
  25. I seen something similiar in another thread---way I look at it is...... I am what you may call a lucky angler and most times am able to catch a limit plus in a day's outing...I hardly keep anything maybe one for the wife if is she is inclined but hardly any. (I think I cleaned too many in my life and now I almost dread doing it) Point is I hold no ill will to those that behave within the confines of the law. Now on that note I won't give those people tips on what I'm doing but if they run into a limit--have at her. Maybe the angle to take is education---the better angler realizes that he can catch supper if needed and there is no need to "Stock-Up" per say. Just a thought Bushart
