  1. Exactly---early season I could sit in a tight area and pound em for an hour --don't have to be a master angler Later in the summer--gets more challenging----spring is prime time for vanity fotos
  2. there is only one way to stop oos fishing---sanctuary---and they're not going to do that So this act goes on forever Remember the steelhead anglers in early April---I'm fishin suckers
  3. Well without sounding like a know it all---I know the lake very well I indicated I would'nt be fishing early season walleyes there---I would fish bass there I know walleyes hit tubes---not my May go to bait I used to fish Northwest Ontario for some years---I'm used to fishing bass in ice out 45 degree water (no season) and up i got to watch them Catch and release many bass and yet still stay in that spot Those boats were bass fishing---sorry
  4. I've had this discussion on the lake with a CO I've seen bass boats "Pitchin" bass baits at the opener of walleys---15 feet off the shoreline Now I was born at nite---but it was'nt last nite But--they have to prove they're not pitchin pike or the likes---hard to fine intent---however obvious Make a rule---someone will find a way around it
  5. Maybe take the middle ground on a 16 foot tinny Like was said---you can adjust it up for shallow conditions----and if it's that ruff that it's blowin in the wind-(meaning the bow is lifting high in the waves)--you likely should be a shore havin a pop
  6. Not You Misfish (Brian) I read a sign on the side of the hwy stating "Brain's Taxidermy" Just thought it was a strange name for a taxidermist---unless he does head mounts inside out???
  7. Uhhh while the Barrie boys are here--I gotta ??? after my last journey thru your hood Just north of Barrie I read a sign for a taxidermist----Is it really "Brain's"---or did "Brian" pay a signmaker without spellcheck??
  8. twas not I---years ago The wife/kids and I were drivin around the backroads just northeast of the Soo---lookin for fishin spots So we pull into a launch area----and there sits rods and tackle boxes that obviously got left behind when they loaded up It may be naive---cuz I'm thinkin the next guy would take em---but we left them sittin there hopin the owners would return after realizing what was missin My buddy just a couple years back lost hundreds of $$$ doin the same thing after loading up---he was not as lucky
  9. Right on---hopefully our plumbers are b'havin themselves
  10. My lowrance also does this once in a while---I think it loses bottom Like Lew--I shut it off/on works ok
  11. If your biggest concern is weight---I knew a guy who used to haul a small 12v motorcycle battery on trips-----not meant to drain and charge all time---but for a short fly in---may get ya by Maybe somebody else here has tried them can chime in---I never have personally
  12. AAaaaaah'''Ya don't need speed and temp ta catch fish Ok well maybe
  13. I'm not sure how many items you'll be putting on your tinny---one thing to consider is getting a hold of a teflon piece (Likely find at marinas Screw that to your boat and then that gives you a few options to screw to without punching holes in your boat each time---nice if you want to add speed and temp down the road. remember stainless screws---don't put transducer right behind turbulence---like keels or line of rivets
  14. I need a vid where caddyshack meets the big lebowski
  15. Remember Manitou---ya only gotta be able to run faster than yur caddy
  16. that's a good sized bruin
  17. I'm thinking the scheduling goes as follows........with no team (not even the Leafs) guaranteed of playoff runs----these buildings are booked long in advance You would'nt leave them vacant on the chance of a hockey game---likely the case for delayed times
  18. Your like Judge Roy Bean----ya got your own "Watchbear" Judge Lew??
  19. I usually buy the canvas ones from Cdn Tire or wally world---seem ok---bout 200 bucks for my boat DO STAY AWAY FROM THOSE CHEAP PLASTIC TARP ONES_______GAAAARRRRBBBAAAGE!!!!!
  20. Bri, Bri...thought for sure by now it was common knowledge that if your name is Terry (Terrence for long)---you typically outfish anyone else in da boat Heck I think that fact is even in Webster's
  21. Cool--I thought you were shooting super hi-speed and caught a blood spurt or somethin
  22. Nice eye...what's the red line thingy under his chin??
