Will you be asking about the OMNR to those that approach your door?
bushart replied to Gerritt's topic in General Discussion
That's what I was thinking Gerritt----when a group organizes with an agenda at hand---it cannot help but become political The heads of any organization (including Political Parties)---are constantly bombarded with lobbyists---looking to swing directions Just look at this thread how it evolved----right on que---the conservative mothership parachutes in those trying to sway votes---like apparently we cannot decide for ourselves??--I believe they turn more away than get--but anyway? Like the OFAH----eventually sides are chosen---likely by the group leadership----then your back to square one---alone in the wilderness without your concerns being addressed. So herein is the challenge---form a true democratic group to "Lobby" those that make the calls -
OORRRRRR---ya go the full Carl

What I did---was watch where they climb up and down your house Put the trap at the bottom and hope the neighbor's cat does'nt like PB

Party does'nt care about deficits Liberals run a huge one in Ontario---Federal Cons have amassed the largest deficit in Cdn history So thinking one party does it-------maybe "Someday" -

I think we have arrived at that feeling of helplessness------we turn to our gov't for leadership and vision---to make our lives better---for the $$$ we contribute We get less though now and pay more---and as in this election----we seem to be drowning and none of them have a rope to throw to us I look at the ballot and It looks like a question----Do you want to be clubbed in the head---the stomach --or the knees? None of the options are very appealing -

This is getting slightly off topic ...but there is more to this issue within society than should I vote for Nutty or Nuttier? Within many of our lifetimes there has been a huge social change---sometimes so gradual--hard to notice--- but still there 1st---it's now a smaller world where we are competing for $$$ and jobs with a tipped set of scales---we are having difficulty competing--in an exploding world population Essentially removing our once content middle class---leaving us with Very rich and almost poverty for the most sake (middle is still there but falling fast) Now Whatever Gov't is in place can't change the wall streets of the world---Remember Regan saying you don't tell the head of Exxon what to do> So when our wages get shipped to a cheaper source----tax revenues fall for Gov'ts to waste----cuts are a comin This can go on but thinking that one party can change your life or livelihood for the better----would'nt want to tread water waiting -
I had black squirrels literally chewing my fascia boards once before the aluminum went on---yes the rat trap and PB worked I screwed the trap to a board so he coul'nt drag it---flatter to set the trap on as well Then another time----a red squirrel was using my shed for pine cone storage---you would not believe where he'd hide them-----in anything open including my old table saw ---lived in town so could'nt get the gun

Many years ago outside Hamilton---I was listening to a guy boasting how he did an insurance job on his car and for several other paying customers Here's how it worked-----drive car to 6 Nations and set it on fire Yep---all the junior detectives with the super de-coder rings figure----Must Have been those Indians (term of the day)----again too easy What happens when facts and evidence is left out of judgements -

Well.Well....Nice to find out that Canuck and Shag are members of our painting fraternity---welcome to the Paint Room Maybe we could do a joint piece of work that depicts the message that there seems to be enough contempt and intolerance in this world already without going forth and trying to invent new ones -

Well I've looked at the field and wish there was someone else Tap Dancin Tim wishes to make the public sector smaller....odds of $$$$ going into the public service MNR---would'nt hold my breath Cunning Kathleen----already proved what her party will do for MNR Ambitious Andrea---may be the wild card---they may put $$$ into MNR----but can they run the province?? Maybe I should run ------My platform will be--lower beer prices---and move the Leafs to Hamilton -

Interesting angle on some views here---and as Shag has mentioned there are a few possibilities But unless I had hard and fast proof---I'm reserving opinion I do know if I had an axe to grind---I could set this scenario up to look a certain way so that clues lead directly to a certain group---too easy Not saying it could'nt be----but there's little here in the ways of facts---other than someone wasted good fish -
Oh and if there's any question.....They're Here!!!

Wow---when you spend a lot of years on this rock---it's hard to pick just one---how bout top 5 1. Fond du Lac river flowing into Black Lake in Sask.------whitewater coming into a gin clear lake---where grayling school up till the water is black 2. Big Creek outside Delhi Ontario----little creek you'd walk down and catch speckles and browns outside farm fields--used to be an old submerged car full of bullet holes in the water---catch trout right beside (prob had to be there ) 3. Ghost Lake outside Dryden Ontario---another gin clear lake where the smallies always bite and the lake trout were excellent 4. Lake of The Woods----you don't need to say more 5. The Grand River---Many dump on the old girl but it re-invents itself for many miles along the way---and it's the 1st place I fished 47 years ago Soo it's hard to pick just one

You may or may not have taken notice of the last weekend drownings in Quebec and BC thread so I'll put a reminder here. This spring has come late with ice out just occurring recently---so of course the water has not warmed up much. Many may think that a PFD makes you bulletproof----it does'nt----that cold water can affect your body rapidly ---hypothermia---shock--etc. Everyone wants to get out and play after a long winter-----includes maybe taking chances in small craft---canoes/kayaks---or even high water wading---due to late run off Learn or ask--- and take precautions on what you need to do to stay safe.--Cold water acts quickly Now none of us are born with this information----someone told us to help out---now we're passing it along Have fun though
