I thought our licence fees and ads paid for these books?? OK here's another example----I just move to this area where Trout opens Jan 1 across the board Now ice out happens in April so Gerritt and I say head to lake Clear for some perch---perch alone---we know there's walleye in there but it's widely known oos so we catch an inadvertent trout (I have elsewhere while perchin)---now we're unprepared--can we keep it?? We didn't bother looking up special regs for perch---well answer would be no Even though the area opened jan 1 ---Lake clear has a late may opener and "Slot Size" This is when the book we paid for would come in handy when you get older slot sizes and special rules tax the old memory banks---and again why look for special rules when just perchin
-
I've heard this and IMO it stinks A regs book is something I always have on board for varying reasons It's the exceptions that come in handy in a pinch on the water---can't just say--I'll go home and go online Now was it 18.7 or 15.6 till june 15th etc etc

Like I mentioned---not a Tampa fan by any stretch---be nice to see a level field though Like the game after the Sens/Habs fiasco---one ref from that nite reffed the very next night in Ottawa He must have had the guilts cuz Ottawa was getting Power plays for next to nothing---2 minutes for passing gas??

Yup and Stamkos was onside And the knee to the head of Stamkos looked very much like this season when Neal kneed Marchand in the head and it cost him several games---no call I guess nobody said it had to be fair----just marketable

-
Well the game where Ottawa was leading by 3 goals with 4 minutes left---had their goalie run right over and no call---everyone seen it---but hey it's Montreal Price and an imaginary skate sharpening right when they had an icing and no wind---yeah right---total fairness

One memory brings me back---a kinda cold RC cola in a glass bottle----brought out of the milkhouse after workin in the hay all day Ah I could go long on this nostalgia trail but it's getting off topic with the grid question
-

If you wait for retirement you may not live long enough to realize the long term benefits It's a substantial initial outlay of $$ and you need to run it for some time to re-coop your costs---ie; no hydro bills

Thanks Joey Yeah they didn't want to put "monster" on the postcard---as tourist operators didn't want to scare kids from swimming---true story
-
Wellll Ch'ya Ontario also has a resident lake Monster---books written and even news teams from LA sent at the time to investigate Yup---it's "Mussie" of Muskrat Lake in Cobden. Ontario 10 miles long and places near 300 ft deep---once near the Voyageurs route around the rapids of the Ottawa River Aaaaaand ya'll know da guy dat painted the postcard for ole Cobden town

Your on the right road Matt---and I'm sure there's no better time than right now to spend quality time with your Dad and his grandkids Try and stay optimistic and start new One last thing I would add.....Don't beat yourself up too badly over the past----"EVERY" one of us is guilty of putting up barriers for one reason or another It is part of being human So I would just say---forgive yourself---as I'm sure your Dad has already done

I think it's a plot to gouge the public in general Art----they don't seem to play favorites in inflated bottom lines Without turning this thread sideways-----Today the Pope's Easter message was speaking against greedy businesses---seeing the affect on the world's poor (soon to be us) So it seems to get noticed in many places Again just a note and not turning this into a religious debate

I know this is only a personal preference---but someone said they taste a lot like whitefish---and apologies for getting a bit off track here I get told all the time how great whitefish are---and I've caught lots in my life One spring my buddy in NW Ontario and I caught lots in the 6-8 lb range in the English river I've tried them fried--baked---smoked---I hate em all Like I can eat cats outta good water-----bass (unheard of to some)-----I've even tried canned sucker meat (again outta good water) But the whitey population is really safe in my hands----so I guess so will ciscoes (unless I needs trout bait )
