  1. bunks guide story was pretty friggin awesome. The cabin construction thread seems to have gotten lost on me but i was loving reading about him using a water level for his posts and drilling the rock, that was sweet. Nicest board member Fisherpete (one of the nicest guys ive ever met in my entire life not even kidding) People id like to meet Bill Manitou Bunk Chris Brock -Oddest forum related thing in my year, i met a member this summer and he posts all the time, but Im like 90% sure he has no idea that it was me who he met lol. Worst thread all of the politically fueled ones. Lots of good old boys showing their real colours...i guess fishing has some redneck undertones so its not surprising...racism, hate, all show their ugly heads...
  2. mmmm that kessel deal just got sweeter for the leafs big time.
  3. Montreal, Dallas, The islanders, washington (until this year) all good teams that fare well in the regular season but get ground out in the playoffs. You cant win the cup playing soft hockey.
  4. im glad all of this snow hit before the lock up...its way worse when you have 1 inch of ice and 2 feet of snow on it.
  5. how nice of you to let pete catch fish in your spots heck of a year out there, love those big pickerels you guys caught...pretty long i must say
  6. good call, still point out that 70 of the league is north american...and the swedes dont play a soft game...They are generally big and powerful but thanks for the chart...very good stuff
  7. the boys will be out in PAB on saturday...not venturing far but out on the drop off infront of my place...ill let everyone know how much ice they have.
  8. just because the European teams are playing finesse skill hockey does not mean that we have to. Yes the game is evolving, but we cant forget that Canadian's make up 85% of the NHL. We are getting away from what made us good and are trying to play a more european style of hockey. Back during the drive for 5 etc the canadians played a hard nosed tough forechecking game. A game where you grinded the european teams into oblivion. Size, physicality plus puck skills won it for us every time. Now I am seeing a huge evolution in Junior Hockey. Yes its great to have great skill, but being one dimensional and scared to forecheck hard, and play shut down D is to the detriment of Canadian Hockey.Remember Eric Lindros at the Juniors? The mentality amognst players is basically becoming a bunch of pretty boys that are out there to toe drag a snipe a Gino. Basically we are developing Nazem Kadris and patrick Kanes instead of toews and crosbys...its not good. Anyone who wants to argue that the physical game doesnt work, or is disappearing...ask yourself who the best coaches in the NHL are and then ask yourself what style of game they play. The Dallas' and the Montreals of the league just dont finish when it comes to the playoffs, you cant play soft hockey and win it all.
  9. good old slotege I was super into cars at one point, they definitely handle amazingly, especially if you throw a good suspension in them they are nimble as hell. My car was about 2000lbs with 185 HP a exedy stage 3 clutch and fidanza lightweight flywheel in its prime, it had a pretty good top end, slow off the line though with the front wheel drive, i used to be able to burn out in second lol and chrip the tires going into 3rd.
  10. guess i didnt explain myself well....driving my Mazda speed protege which was dumped 3 inches on coilovers and riding on 18's with 205/35/18 tires...didnt think i was getting a replacement tire in that size up in parry sound especially on a long weekend. riding a donut all the way back to toronto was not in question. that happened one time the next my transmission blew up and finally my coilpacks completely fouled. All part of the game when you modify cars lol things go wrong more often then not lol Now im driving a new stock jetta and lifes much easier ahhahaa
  11. ive been towed so many times its embarrassing lol always got insane value out of my CAA membership Especially when they towed me from PAB back to Toronto after I had a flat on a long weekend.
  12. i think in the past there was a notice of any changes...did any happen this year or am i missing something?
  13. ugh...my sleds and augers are not happy This rainy warm crap can gtfo IMO
  14. and we voted these clowns back into power the next election...do some quick math and you can figure out fairly quickly that these guys straight up stole 250 bucks from every single tax payer in Ontario outright. I dont know about you, but if you came and stole 250 cash from my house, i would be a little upset.
  15. sounds like the crappie fishing on scugog is the hot ticket (they taste better than walters anyways)
  16. Ive got a $100 phone charger case and the navionics app on my iphone with a $2 phone mount in my boat. Yes this app eats a lot of battery so it may not be the best for trolling all day. But getting spot to spot its as good as any true GPS. I use it around Georgian bay and it has not only got me around safely in some of the most dangerous water around, it also has put me on some absolutely insane fishing spots. If you want to get really fancy, id even go with buying a tablet and throwing navionics on it.
  17. hot goaltending will do that, its not really sustainable..im not complaining im a big oilers fan, but you gotta start playing better d all we are seeing is their really powerful offence finally having some life. Hall is on a tear.
  18. Was just watching Uncut Anglings christmas gift idea video and holy crepe this thing is bloody genius https://www.fishntech.com/shark_tooth.html im ordering 4
  19. anything pre-made is bad... go to a grocery store, anything that is cooked, packaged or made on site is bad for you. Avoid carbohydrates after 1pm. this includes fruits. Chicken breasts...fish....and all of the green vegetables you want. Eat fruit too but avoid eating it late in the day. Aside from that if you stick to that your body will detoxify the heck out of itself. Drink 8 glasses of water a day at a bare minimum. Its not hard to conceptualize, but difficult to stick to.
  20. literally the most beautiful of all fish. I need to do more backwoods trekking for this kinda stuff.
  21. ive got $10 bucks that the lake is actually in smiths falls and chris is just trying to get rid of the tale on the weekend.
  22. wow guys, this stuff is super heavy...reminds me to count my blessings at christmas and shows just how for a lot of people this time of year can be tough vs a celebration. what I wanna know though is how santa handles manitou's house...aye ye ye you must run out of places to hide stuff, theres only so many secret spots.
  23. mu suggestion is that you park it far from anyones cottages, if someone posted up in a boat and started living infront of my cottage I am pretty sure the boat would sink or come unanchored and maybe even sink while they were away
  24. loll this is what I thought, hey guys make sure you bring all of your expensive fishing gear and at least $200 cash as well ahaha I think (hope) chris is joking about the blindfold? internet is not so good for determining tone
