ive caught one white bass in my life...and at the time i was new to fishing georgian bay so i didnt think too much of it...in hindsight if the ontario record is 19 inches and 3 lbs...the one that I caught was pretty big and definitely worth a photo (not this big though, that things a pig)...if only I had knew at the time!

you have 9 posts and are expecting people to help you out...as far as Im concerned you are just another catch and kill troller until proven otherwise. Trust me, the people on this website are far from rude, some can be salty, but man up and laugh it off. My experience on this forum has been nothing but positive, and trust me, ive caught many a fish including a few legit trophies that would have never been caught without the direct help of some of our board members. So thats saying something right there.

work...thats about it people like different things, but why the hell anyone lives in southern ontario making crap money is beyond me. Exactly....i dont think these guys are in tune with the fact that the old lady is actually the bread winner of the family. She gets a say in any decisions we make for obvious reasons. She also works harder at her career than i do so I need to respect that.

usually im sitting out there thinking...ok it takes me 10-15 to get home...how long until the storm is 10-15 away so that I can arrive on my dock and run to the house as the rain starts falling lol. Last year on buckhorn I said "Lets go!!!!" and Dave said "one more cast" that one more cast ended up with us being caught in torrential downpour in a golf cart as we drove it back up to his trailer from the docks lol boy did we catch a lot of bass though

lol cliff arent you the one thats selling the house on the lake? and weve already had the talk about it, currently her career wouldnt allow for her to make a move like that, and its a bit ridiculous to ask someone to give up their career to go and sit up north and do nothing. She already knows that once its time to have kids etc, then we will definitely be moving somewhere much quieter

if only the fiance would let me do this lol i tried to convince her to move to my home town Flin Flon manitoba, i had a good job lined up and everything but no dice lol.

The cold front pre-fish is definitely a tried and tested pattern for me as well. Especially if you are fishing before a summer electrical storm, the bite will always be insane.

as much as these threads are garbage...they are funny and totally have their place on this forum. Theres always a few golden comments worth the laughs

we were definitely catching both...the saugers seemed to be co-existing with the big walleyes no problem. They were hanging around and following us up and down all day and then every so often a big walleye would show up and eat.

anyone with any knowledge also willing to back this statement up... Roy im not taking away from your statement, i hope you agree because you have caught sauger yourself many times! I am just looking to fully confirm this.

there are large fish...and also small fish in that exact spot...1 inch either way and there are no fish to be found.

you tell me...looks pretty saugerish to me! But i know pretty much nothing about sauger except they dont have the white tip on the tail and they have blotches like this fish.

lol restart at ice off im still hearing of everyone around saying this past weekend was the best fishing of the whole winter. We just realized today that all of the small pickerel we were catching were actually sauger! sweeeettt

This thread might be short lived...it may be long, but i can honestly say something clearly was going on in Southern Ontario this past weekend. The amount of reports I am seeing pop up with solid results is perhaps the highest I have ever seen on this forum... I was lucky enough to be out on GB and we absolutely hammered em too we even wet a line for 3 hours on Sunday and went 6-7 while losing a 20+lb pike while trying to get it through an 8 inch hole...yikes! Anyone else here not posting full blown reports but that had success this past weekend? Holy cow.

Something was in the air on sunday in ontario...everyone seems to have absolutely killed it!

my only tip is to drive slow homie! you can lose a leg in a minute on those lakes.
