  3. i found this site through word of mouth......first my cousin on the old message board and i gave it up for a couple years and got back into it again last year when it was mentioned to me by DMASSE....anyways sure am glad that i got back into it...... Hawk

  7. I've used live crabs for bows before.....leeches work good too.......heck i've even caught them on a very small goby before.....it took the goby as i was reeling it in.....bows like alot of fish are dumb......they'll eat jus about anything that they can get down the hatch..... Hawk

  10. largemouth, smallmouth, northern pike, walleye, chinook salmon, rainbow trout, white sucker, ling, mooneye, whitefish, tulabee, goby, perch, rock bass, pumpkinseed, blue gill, sheephead, brown trout, lake trout, tiger musky, sauger, rainbow smelt, creek chub, red dace (was very surprised about this one), white perch, channel catfish, coho salmon, and an emerald shiner lol i caught on a spoon not sure if you wanna count that.....so that makes the final tally 28 for this year......not bad Hawk

  14. I went yesterday and seen a PILE of fish and caught a few as well......so iunno where you were fishing but i would try somewhere else....cuz the fish are running hard in the rivers i fish....

  18. wow......so many replies where as i expected the mothers on the board here to come on and tell me to go to school.....lol but thank you very much guys for the replies and i have decided to go to school in january......maybe i will look into the hunting thing in a year from now but until then ill go with school.....once again thank you all for your replies and they played a big part in my decision.....at least i'll be back at Halley's next summer....CANT WAIT...... Heres my dilemma, I've talked to 2 lodges.....1 in British Colombia and the other in Newfoundland about being a hunting guide and basically they said they need someone pretty bad and wanted me to come......but I have also applied to college in January.....so basically I have to choose between hunting grizzlies and mountain goats or papers and books. I know school is important but its just sooooooooo tempting.......what do you guys think i should do??? im going fishing tomorrow to think about it lol but seriously would love any advice.....   21. i use a medium action baitcaster rod n reel.....depends on what you are comfortable with.....
  22. i forgot to mention that the one day me and another guide went out looking for walleye spots and all we had were the gulp minnows and they worked just fine.....Mac landed a 27 inch walleye that day......needless to say i caught a 19 inch bass and a 39 inch northern and Mac picked up a 42.5 inch northern but the last 3 werent on the minnow we caught them casting.....lol jus wanted to brag for a sec.....sorry guys Hawk
