  1. I recently purchased a boat lift for the new boat so that I could ensure that one, the Muskrats wouldn't get in and chomp on the electrical cables and second, I could try and keeep the Ottawa River "grime" off the boat. ..I put the lift in around 4 weeks ago... So, I finally wait for the Muskie season to open up here and get the boat in the water only to find that we have visitors that have decided to camp on the boat lift and the wife is adamant that they be our guests and are NOT DISTURBED under any circumstances!!!! . ..so now I've got to launch and take the boat out whenever I want to head out which is a pain in the arse!!!! Here's what they look like....I'm hoping they'll soon Flock-off so that I can finally leave the boat in and use the lift 8) Here's Mom...

  9. A warm welcome to OFC Teressa...Looking forward to reading your posts in the near future
  10. Wow....that poor Muskie almost looks dead and VERY stressed out .... "About 35-40 min later and 3 flipping jumps out of the water I finally was able to grab him/her"....why did it take so long for you to reel this fish in if you were targetting Muskie to begin with????...I'm very surprised to hear that you were able to revive that fish and even if you did, the chances of that fish surviving is very LOW!!! Get yourself some heavier line so you can keep your drag set tight without a line break-off, a GOOD Muskie net, some bolt cutters and most importantly: If you plan on targeting Muskie then I suggest you do a lot more reading and research...I would also suggest joining a Muskie Club such as Muskies Canada so you can educate yourself a bit more.. http://www.muskiescanada.ca/
  11. I always check the MNR website for updates because MNR constantly have changes in fishing dates and other regulations.....But I remember asking the clerk at Transport Canada back in 1994 if we had to renew the vessel permit and he said it's good for as long as you own the vessel... ....very similar to my ATV plate which is good for the duration of me owning it without having to renew
  12. I'm confused as well after reading this thread....we bought a pontoon boat back in 1994 and got it registered...how the hell would anyone know that you need to renew it now every 10 years
