  3. I see bigger boats doing that all the time just this pass weekend on belwood lake at the pike derby myself and another OFC'r almost got swaped. It is very sad to see this happen to a young family. I hope others will slow down when passing smaller boats out on the waterways.
  4. The New 300 Mercury applied similar changes — a more aggressive intake cam and revised spark and fuel programs — to boost the 2.6-liter Verado from 275 to 300 hp. The result is more top-end power with the strong bottom provided by the supercharger boost. A new 1.75:1 gear ratio is a little taller than the 1.85:1 ratio used in other L6 Verado models, for a better match with available propellers. At 649 pounds with a 25-inch shaft, the Verado is about 45 pounds heavier than the 4.0-liter Suzuki DF300, which is also designed for a digital control. The Verado 300 will be offered with a 20-inch shaft, perfect for those really big, really fast bass boats.

  9. Well had a great time in lower Buckhorn as always stayed at SUNRISE RESORT Your Hosts: Cees & Anya Slothouber are great people to deal with. Friday was just beautiful had a great time walking around town checking out the shops and doing a little bit of gear shopping behind the wifes back. No fishing friday had to wait till 12am May 17th since thats when fishing opens in lower Buckhorn. Well i started fishing from 12am till 3am and man was the bite on with in 40min of haveing the line wet i had already landed 28 big fat crappie. At this point i forgot the camara was having way to much fun. Well around 2:40am i was about to call it quits when out of no wear i felt a hard hit. I knew it had to bigger then a crappie and low and behold i pulled out a 24" Walleye. All this time i had been fishing just from the dock and it had been a great nite. I was useing a C8025MGX Pflueger Supreme Spinning reel along with the power pro 5 pound braided line and Shakespeare Ugly Stick Lite Graphite rod nice little set-up for under $175. Well when i did remember the camara it was just about to clean my catch from my 6am fishing trip the fallowing day.
