Are you going to be there on the same date? If yes, we can pick a day and we can do the portage lake with you and your wife, Tyler and I will help by humping your stuff to the other lake and back, it's about a 15 minute walk from what Tony said, we can just the our time, no problem.

we will be there the 18th until the 25th. Better give him a call today, Tony told me that the camp is going to be full. He has a bunch of regulars coming that week.

Well I booked it for the 3rd week of June. Asked Karl from Extreme Anger as well. He couldn't say enough about the camp and ownership, not to mention the fishing!! The owner gave me a run down on the phone of the place, what to bring, what to expect, etc. Really nice guy (Tony) to chat with. Really looking forward to this trip!! Thanks to all that had comments, I will be sure to have a report of the place and the fishing when we come back.

I just got back an email from the guys at Fish TV. They highly recommend this place. I know that they shoot a show there every year but I asked them about another trip I went on and they were bang on with their recommendation. If any more info comes my way I will be sure to post it here for everyone that is interested in going.

Thanks again Lew!!! Cliff, they just had an episode on Fish TV at the camp. Like I said, the fishing looks awesome and a couple of others have said their meals are terrific as well. What I like about it is that you can fish 4 or 5 lakes while there so if the walleye are not biting we can fish bass or go to one of the portage lakes and fish pike and trout. If anymore info comes my way, I will be sure to post it for you Cliff.

Hi everyone, I am just wondering if anyone has been to Lost Lake Wilderness Lodge. I have seen it a couple times on the fishing shows and it looks like the fishing is great. I am thinking of booking in the spring and just want to make sure they are what they advertise. Thanks!

Hey J rock, I am not too sure about Four Mile lake but I do fish up your way (Crystal Falls) on Lake Tomiko. Very few boats and TONS of smallies to catch. I was there last Sept. and had a couple days where the boat landed 100 fish. Plus you will get the odd walleye as well. Lots of fun to take kids. I used a drop shot mostly and was nailing more fish than my Cousin and his wife. I might have some maps of the lake, if you are interested PM me and I will look for them. Chrispy!

I ordered one last week too. I tried to check the shipping that they gave me and it kept coming up that there was no data for that tracking number. I sent the company an email and they got back to me right away and gave me another tracking number. I checked into it and it was saying it was shipped. It is coming from China, so it will take a few weeks to get to you. I wish I would have known it came from there, I wouldn't have purchased it. I am trying to keep my money in Canada at this time. Thanks Reef....so good to know!! Used to fish Lac Des Quinze every spring and the same thing, got boarded a couple times in the week.....I am always by the book and I make sure that the rest of the group is by the book!! And thanks about the unattended gear, I always leave gear in the boat we are using....good tip!!

Thank you so much for the reply Smitty....I am on the Kipawa forum and reading through.....I looked at all 3, and a couple didn't have the times open that I wanted, so I am narrowing it down to Chalets Du Huard....but if the rest of the group wants to go in July I will go with Alwaki, they get back to you right away when you ask Brian a question so I feel they are going to have good customer service.... I am looking into going up to Lake Kipawa in the spring for some walleye, lake trout and pike fishing.....has anyone been up and stayed at any of the camps? How was the fishing in the area you were in, Kipawa is pretty big!! Did you troll, jig, drop shot? Any info would be helpful!! Thanks in advance! Chrispy!

Huzzsaba hit it on the nose....you might be in time for the perch run out of Wheatley....I used to stay out at Campers Cove and fished from the beach there.....if the perch are running out there you will do very well with a pickerel rig and minnows!! Good luck!! Chrispy!

I picked up Repel 100 from Bass Pro....100% deet.....the regular stuff works on mosquitoes but doesn't work for black flies....and like some of you, I get claustrophobic in a bug jacket and hat....worked great for me but wouldn't want to use it long term!! Chrispy!

They will also unpack for you and put away all your clothes....if you want a certain brand of liquor in your room they usually will get that for you....if need something ironed....will run baths for the wife and lay flowers on the bed, give you a pillow selection, scent in the room....the wife and I have had them when staying at the Iberostar Grand....I usually just use them to make reservations and to make sure I have my chair by the pool bar....its the wife that asks for things....me, I would rather not have one but the wife loves it so what the heck.... Awesome story about a sad situation....I can't believe some of the trash I find fishing the Detroit River area.....I am constantly netting plastic bags, worm containers, etc. Thanks Tom and Mark for being great leaders on the river!! Chrispy!

Just wondering if anyone knows of a tackle shop in or around Crystal Falls or Sturgeon Falls....Going up to Lake Tomiko/Chebogomog the 8th of September for a week....would like to stop in and get some info on the lake as well as some local tackle and bait....I have fished it before in the spring and did well, never fished it in the fall....Thanks for any info!
