And your right they did a nice job on the LaSalle ramp!! Went out of there 5 or 6 times this spring....gotta watch getting out into the river though.....hit bottom just outside the mouth, went from 8-9 feet to 2 feet in about 5 yards....I run a blue and white 18' Sylvan with a 75 horse Merc and a 6 horse Honda 4 stroke kicker....make sure ya give me a wave this spring!! I'll be in front of the Joe this year as well.....I didn't have my Michigan License last year but I will this spring!! Around the Belle Isle bridge is really good when the water is clear too....also along the shore on the Michigan side past the light house in St. Clair.....Good seeing you Zib!! Chrispy!

I'll be dodging icebergs in March on the Detroit River with ya Brother!!!! We also have to go out for some catfish, I've never fished them before.....I've caught tons, just never went out for them.... Chrispy!

It's about 45 minutess from the bridge.....Shoot me over an e-mail and I will send you the directions.....I seen that Pete is going to be there as well as don't miss Musky Bob Brunner.....from what I have read about him he is one of the best musky fishers on Lake St. Clair and has been for many, many years....also part of the Michigan Fishing Hall of Fame.... I have another meeting that night but I am going to get out there one of these days!!! Chrispy!

Hey Mepps! Ya it wasn't too good a couple years ago but it is getting better.... Last year I got some great deals on tackle....2 for one deals on Fireline plus a free hat, flourocarbon at half price, all types of Berkley plastics and Senko's for a buck a package, Rapalas for a couple bucks, Hot N Tots for a buck a piece, etc....My Dad's buddy got the same Okuma spinning reel that I have for half the retail price and they thru in a $50.00 rod for $10.00 bucks more....I think the more people that go to this show the better the deals get..... I am going to try to make it up to the Toronto show this year....I hear it's a good one!! Chrispy!

I was a roadie for years in Canada....I'm a lighting and pyro tech....I was mostly with Aces Wild but worked with Helix, Syre, Stab a Cat, Ugly Step Sisters, Cracker Man, etc.....in fact I am going to be doing lights for Cracker Man in London on the 19th of January..... Chrispy!

The new shows are great.....trolling for walleyes on Erie, musky fishing on St. Clair, jigging smallies......it's not just bass under docks and cover anymore....he has some great new pro's with him now....Bobby Devine and JP Rose.....I say keep up the great work K-Dawg and X-Team!!! Chrispy!

Entropy, I got the boat just over a year ago....I did the same last year when I put her away so I know I did it somehow.... ChrisS, that is a perfect time to check.....When I first started backing up the trailer without the boat I used to have to pick it up and move it by hand because I sucked at backing up...LOL!!! So I know that would work!!! LMAO!! Chrispy!

That's exactly right Sinker....that is how it is....very hard to see!!!! I just hope this post will remind everyone next spring to take a really close look at their trailer....I've learned an important lesson from this and I hope it helps someone else as well!!!! Chrispy!

This is my first year with the boat so I had no idea about checking something like that....I always made sure my lights work, my tires are filled, my bearings are good and greased, etc.....never a thought about looking under.....your right one lesson learned!!!! Off to buy my loto ticket now!!! LOL!!!! Chrispy! I also meant to say that the break would have been hard to see unless you got down right under the frame of the trailer and looked hard.....it still looked like it was attached until you lifted the tires off the ground.....I am going to check it a few times a year by jacking up the trailers wheels off the ground.... Chrispy!

On Saturday my cousin came over to help me raise up the boat off it's wheels and put the trailer on jacks....all is going ok, we get it off the ground and one of my tires is hanging reel low....I take a look under it and the axle is broken off of the trailer!!!!! I couldn't believe it!!! It must have happened when I trailered the boat up north and back (over 2000 KM there and back)....we have to travel some pretty crappy dirt roads to get to the cottage.....I checked the other site and it has a crack in it also....I can't believe how lucky I am that the wheel didn't come off on the highway!!! Again I am lucky, my cousin works for a construction company and he has a portable weilder that he can throw in his truck and come over and fix it for me at no cost to me..... When I sit and think about it if the boat would have flew off on the highway I could have killed somebody!!!!! Please everyone check your trailers a few times a year....I know I will be from now on!! That is a pretty smart idea.....I have manual downriggers so that would be a perfect application for something like this.....thanks for posting these....I'll be looking for them at the Detroit fishing show next month.... Chrispy!

I am thinking of renting a place @ Cozy Park Cottages on Lake Nosbonsing in the first or second week of June....does anyone fish this lake, stayed at the camp, etc??? I mainly want to fish walleye, perch and pike.....I have an 18' Sylvan that I will bring up with me....any info will be very helpful in making the decision to go there....thanks!! Chrispy!
