As usual you have outdone yourself again Brother.....great show!! It was incredible to see how close to shore you were fishing for those "big girls" and like you, I know about big girls!!! LMAO!!! Your editing let the big fish out of the bag a little early though, a picture of you flashed with you swimming with the biggest one you caught about 20 minutes into the show.....I am going down to that way in another month, I just might look up the Captain and take my Dad out, would be a trip of a lifetime!!! I think they call it the down rod....not only for weeds but they put the bait very close to the prop.....musky on St.Clair hit in the prop wash all the time......if you want more info on this PM Outlaw, one of the best musky hunters in our area and the maker of the best bait on the lake, Woodies. Yep get one....mine got a small tear in it from last years snow being so heavy it rubbed on my seat....I e-mailed Classic and told them the truth, that it was not their workmanship that it was my fault and all I wanted was a patch kit if they had one....the lady that I e-mailed back and forth with told me not to worry about it, send her in the make and model number and that they are going to send me out a brand new one.....Classic has great customer service!!!!!!! If you are on Lac des Quinze then trolling harnesses have been the ticket for a few years now.....I don't have any spots for shore fishing but if you get a boat then head to Point Carniel and start trolling around that point.....right across from that point there is small island, watch for rocks and get to the head of the island, there you can jig with dead minnows (no live bait unless worms) and some plastics.....if you are not hitting there go to the side that Point Carniel is on and troll back towards Angliers.....stay close to shore the whole way and follow the land back going from 6' to 15" of water.....you should be able to take a limit this way as well.....there is also a little bay that is not too far from the Point Carniel going towards Remigny.....lots of pike in there....I usually sit at the mouth of the bay and chuck spoons and crank baits into the entrance.....got a nice 14# there 2 years ago!!!! There might be some shore spots closer to Remigny.....I know there is a walleye sanctuary there, it's one of the biggest spawning beds for walleye in the area.....there just might be some good spots just passed there for shore fishing but have never tried.....the cottage that I stay is on Point Carniel so we never have to go that far for supper!!!! I always go into the bars and have a couple beers and talk to the locals.....I have found that the locals are very friendly and will help out anyone that asks....they might have some spots they will take you too as well.....here is a map of the lake......get in touch if you have more questions!!! From what the pilot told me that was the plane we flew in 3 times last spring.....he had just put in a new engine last year.....so I am figuring that will be the plane that will be at his lodge in June.....I am not sure who is going to be flying it, Mike is going to work for another lodge up in Ear Falls.....it's too bad, Lee seems to be slowing down the business.....My Dad and I had a great time with Lee and Mike last spring and would go back in a heart beat!!!! Like all of the Facts of Fishing shows it was very entertaining!! First doing an entire show on an old bait was awesome!!! How many of us have older baits that were the hot thing of the season and forgotten in our tackle boxes?? I know that I will take the rust off some of the old baits and start throwing them....Mellow Dave was definitely funny!!!! As always I find that I look forward to seeing a new Facts of Fishing show every week!!! Keep up the great work Dave!!!! Oh, and the comic book panels at the end of the show were cool too!! Chrispy!

If you are going to Five Mile Lake Lodge you will have a great time....I met Dave and Christine last spring and they are very nice people!!! The fishing was a lot better than the lake that I was on about 10 miles down the road.....get in touch with Dave and he will let you know how the fishing was last spring..... Chrispy!

I was in my office when my wife called me.....her Brother worked in one of the towers for a consulting company....I ran over next door to the little store that had a TV to see what happened for myself.....about 5 minutes into watching it the second plane hit....my heart dropped!!!!!! I got on my cell and called my wife back and she told me that her brother had called their Mom and that he was on business in Seattle and that he was safe....I was happy to hear that he was OK, but I was mad as hell about what happened and all those innocent people that were lost.....I will never forget!! Right on!! I use both....bottom bouncers and snap weights.....both work awesome on the smaller boards.....a good friend Bobby Devine from Extreme Angler explained to me how to run the setup and first time I tried it ended up picking up 8 nice eaters between me and my cousin......as I do it more I am sure I will get a set pattern down and start picking up even more fish......just as long as I can keep those rubber lipped fish off of them worm harnesses!!!! LOL!!!! I run an 18' Sylvan (white and blue) with a 75 Merc and a 6 horse 4 stroke Honda kicker.....if ya see me make sure to say HEY!!!! I might be able to help with other spots in that area.....take care!!! Chrispy!
