I went to a walk-in clinic with a sign out front "NO NARCOTICS PRESCRIBED HERE" and asked the doc for 2-3 pills to get me through the next day (after he offered). Then he wrote me a script for 200 pills. what the hell. Same thing for my wife - 250 pills for a minor toe surgery.

Roasting pushes the thread up, giving it more attention. If you dislike newcomers asking for info, best course of action is to ignore the post. If you're like me, you're inclined to help newcomers. I realize I'm in the minority here, but I think there's value in it.

You know, if you can get her to send over the original photos, I can clear her 100%. Innocent unless proven guilty and all that... but those are some sketchy photos. Did she just make her instagram private? Because that's sketchy too. Similar pattern on each fish... check Same water chop in every picture... check Same background in at least 4 of the photos... check Same shadow in 5 of 6 pictures... check Last one is a big deal imo, it means the boat was in the same orientation, and the sun was in the same position for each photo. The two pictures showing time and battery power have the same LTE network, same signal strength, same notifications, and a 4% battery drain over 20 minutes... However I think you're weakening your case by pointing out distinctive features on the fish, to me the entire pattern of the fish looks the same.

Hi all, Last summer my sister bought a house bordering a river/stream that runs an impressive 25 km+. It's mostly a narrow, meandering stream with the occasional rapids, etc. The stream is fed by a major water body and slowly forks and peters off over the 25 km run. When asked, locals said the stream didn't hold fish. Lo' and behold, I gave it a shot last weekend and picked up 4 nice brook trout in about 90 minutes. And by nice, I mean 6-9 inch river specks. My gear was poor and I was limited to a 20ft section of the bank where there is a deeper pool. Fish-online shows nothing for this particular area, not even a river marker. Naturally I want to explore further. I checked google maps, and the river forks several times before reaching my sister's house. So I'm fishing a section of the river that is quite slow and small. My question is whether I should expect the fishing to get better as I move upstream. Can I expect bigger fish as I move up? This is the norm for most water bodies. Bigger water = bigger fish. Can I expect brook trout hanging out where the river is fed? There are predators there, pike, walleye etc. Hoping for some input from the more experienced brookie anglers. I rarely fish rivers so this is all new to me. Now I want to go dump thousands on fly fishing gear!!

Like Canuck said, learn to identify specific mushrooms and chances of poisoning are slim to none. Deadly mushrooms are actually quite rare, and the harmful ones are easy to ID. Mushroom hunting is so much fun, and the kids love it too.

Been following the Erie scene for a while and even get to fish there occasionally with great success. The 2015 spawn was the best record back then, and we benefited from it starting 2017 when these fish reached ~16-17 inches in length. Now that year class is in the 20s and it's awesome fishing out there. 2018 was an even better spawn than 2015, and somehow 2019 is looking better than 2018. So expect Lake Erie walleye fishing to be bananas from 2020-2025 at least. Hopefully this trend continues!

As far as I'm concerned, they're useful for setting spot lock and for navigating while manning riggers etc. Otherwise I'll take a foot pedal.

Negative on the stocking. I've yet to try fishing after dark but many groups were doing this. Although, I don't think they knew what they were doing. Guys jigging in 70ft complaining about boating lakers constantly... Temagami might be a bit different as it does have large swaths of shallower water and sandy shorelines like the entire cross bay area. But those areas are a long boat ride out. Btw, I used to fish the are in front of spawning bay and get some nice eaters consistently. Entirely possible.

I think it's important to point out that this is because walleye migrate a lot, from shallow water at spawn to deep water in late summer. I also fish riggers in Nipissing from July onward.

That's pretty funny about the ex Ironmaker. The thing about spoons vs harnesses is you need to troll them at way different speeds. I've had tons of success near Maitland with both. Greasy Chicken Wing, Monkey Puke, Pink Panties, Blueberry Muffin, Nascar, etc are all great colors. Copper backed michigan stinger @ 2mph. Harnesses, any color at 1 mph or less.

Sorry to be "that guy", but this is impossible. Keepers are 1 in 50 in Nipissing. Do they realize keeper size is 18in and over? That's really too bad about your dad's leg. Sounds like a gnarly injury.

Even if that were the case, I fished 2 full days near the shoreline targeting 10ft or deeper. On many occasions I ended up shallower. We also targeted shelves and rock piles (very shallow) for bass. We also spent some hours casting for bass (with great success).

No pike in the lake, which is also weird considering Temagami has them. There was very little weed growth, and whatever shelter was available I fished thoroughly.

Bottom bouncers with floating harness, variety of colors (doesn't seem to matter) on 10-18ft flat areas near deep water boated all of mine. Another 2 came from casting harnesses and jigs in rocky shallows, and one was a fluke on a downrigger 30 feet down. Same strategy as lake temagami itself, where I boat mostly small walleye.

I just returned from a weekend trip to Gull Lake, just west of Lake Temagami. This is my 3rd time on the lake in the past 5 years. http://webapp.navionics.com/#boating@10&key=qui}Gb}mhN I don't mind sharing the details of the trip because, in all honesty, the fishing isn't that good, and the road is awful. One guy ripped off both his running boards, the other guy lost a fender, and I dinged a trailer light. One spot was flooded so badly, water started seeping into the truck cab. Scary stuff. But anyway, the lake is chock full of small lakers. Biggest one I saw was maybe 3.5 pounds. We were part of a large group of 27 guys fishing from Thursday to Sunday. Plenty of Bass to be had, some up to 4 pounds, but no 5+ pounders. What's really intriguing is the Walleye. They're rare, but enormous in this lake. Before ever venturing to this lake, the guys told me it only held large walleye. Makes no sense, of course, because they need to start off small, right? The entire group (27 people) boated 7 walleye. Four of those were boated by me, measuring 20.5, 23, 27 and 27 inches. The other 3 were 21, and 4.5 and 5.4 pounds (last two weighed, not measured). The year prior, two were caught, 8 and 10 pounds. I have pictures of trips prior, all fish in the 5lb+ range. So my question is this; where are the small fish? The navionics link (http://webapp.navionics.com/#boating@10&key=qui}Gb}mhN) gives a good idea of the lay of the land. I fished the southern portion of the lake, where it's sandier and flatter. My theory is that Gull River, which runs into Temagami, is a spawning river for walleye. Some make it into Gull and stay there, which partially explains why they're all big. But if that theory is correct, they aren't spawning in Gull Lake at all, which is a stretch, I think? Anyway, looking forward to hearing some theories! Thanks

Turns out I was dead last in my engineering class (after the other 50% got weeded out). But I like to think I'm an okay engineer. A good student doesn't always make a good employee. And vice-versa. But there is some major validity behind your statement. Be doubly careful with your pain meds folks. You can get addicted to oxys within a week of normal use.
