  1. Simcoe has to be the toughest lake to pattern some.days just make no sense when you can drag a laker and a smallie off the same baitfish cloud in July in 35 ft of water
  2. My way of thinking is all my bacon chicken and steaks are already made from plant based foods
  3. If it was in my budget would have 4 16 Lowrance graphs . Don't knock it till you try it ! Currently run a 10 and a 8 not bad then used a boat recently with 12s HDS live iam sold old eyes.see it better lol. As for the 20ft deep remark maybe here in Ontario over 20 ft bass fishing isn't overly common but try staying on ledges and sunken timber in 60-80 ft of water in southern USA reservoirs all this technology gets developed in conjunction with pro s and then it's a trickle down effect to us weekend warriors
  4. And to add to the weirdness of the weather this year was out on balsam Monday and found 40+ nests some empty some with a guard and several with bass still pairing up had a tough time finding an area of lake without active beds
  5. Seen bass protecting fry right into July. Some are just late spawners. This weekend on pigeon all nests I seen were empty of fish or fry scouting sturgeon most area bass had moved off beds
  6. Went out this morning greeted by a fierce east wind . Tryed several spots and no takers today not to waste much time switched gears to crappie and the spots were void of people and they were Hungary kept half limit for dinner .
  7. Was out Sunday as well fish were s little spooky water was in 51f area and we managed to put some good numbers together by the time noon rolled around
  8. Havnt made a report in a long time hear goes. Sunday morning Kawartha lakes was a little chilly headed out in 42-3f water temp wind outta the north in search of crappies so checked my first course spots fish were there but no takers water was 43-44f in canal try later in afternoon so onto 2nd spot no fish 3 Rd spot lots of bait again cold water no movement of anything tryed. A 4th spot water was now into 47-8f area game on immediately started sticking fish as the wind also shifted to a blow out of the west . We didn't get any giants but had great average boating over 120 crappies kept those st Croix rods bent all afternoon with strike king and Northland baits being main ticket
  9. I would try it. Lol but anything over 250hp no good for most tournaments I do
  10. Got the ranger out today . Check some spots zero action lake was 42f as well as the back canals I checked out need a day or two of sun to get the crappies moving in
  11. Sturgeon mostly open lots of ice sheets blown into goose probly be 100% free in day or two
  12. Well my 250 proxs uses less fuel in every situation then my carbed 150 evinrude
  13. They were biting on Simcoe
  14. Don't believe deisels going anywhere for some time. Deisel emissions controls are in there infancy can only improve. Gasoline engine started emissions control in 1966 with PCV systems and progressed from there took till the early 90's to start seeing performance from a smog engine. But for hybrids I thing deisel can easily be a winner (locomotive) battery technology improvements coming along but with any current motive training electric vehicles are in the mix.
  15. There was 32 carriers of marine insurance before February. Down to 5 now with lyoyds oof London being biggest to drop pleasurecraft. All rates going up substantially. My policy renewal for the z21 is $1400 a year now
  16. Yup $9 a pound at Loblaws and to think when I was a teenager it was nothing to catch a green garbage bag full of smelts in Simcoe. Yummmmmmer havnt had a feed in years
  17. My next vehicle be a grand Cherokee Hemi but the newest Pentastar V6 in Cherokees and paficas with vvt and lift has been problem free since it's release in 2016 and it has surprising power over and above the Pentastar classic 3.6l . No matter whatever you chose every single brand has the known quirks to it . I see plenty in my dealership with over 200 used cars sold a month on top of new lucky me gets to see everything. I really wanted to bring that w10 Audi home ?
  18. Compared to what? No worse on fuel than any other V8 gas trucks I ve had enough to know . Seen the eagle series hemi doing 10.5lper100km with 8 SP my own truck has better overall mileage than my LS GMC and just slightly under the 5.0 ford I had for a bit
  19. it can get confusing even in rams there is a couple different transfercases BorgWarner bw 44-40 found in most bighorn sport lamerie is really a awd transfercase that works with traction systems to be a parttime system requires putting in 4 low the tranfercse in outdoorsman and lower line think it wa a new process nv236 auto transfercase also used in gmc pickups (before being bought by magna) was a partime transfercase the auto was achieved by has a autotransmission clutch pack on front output shaft in tranfercase and encoder motor applied and released a fork to a pply clutch . had both systems on my own vehicles both have advatages looking for a new truck the 2019 ram classics are priced to move sold a pile of 3.6l trucks people seem happy with them, I would step up to hemi 8 speed myself and don't bother with ecodeisels to many issues.
  20. My favorite drop shot rod is a st Croix legend drop shot rod light sensitive strong . Lots out there to try and think the avix x one of best bang for buck rods out there
  21. The oil filter housing is integral with the pan lots of oil pressure goes through that gasket area I would heavily suggest a new gasket
  22. You just unbolt a few bolts and hang it no need to completely remove
