Tried a new fluorocarbon line, I don't like it!

I dunno, but it sounds like operator error to me BC. I've been using Vanish for years and love it!!! I do have 2 reels spooled with the transition and quite truthfully don't like it as much as the regular Vanish, not because of managability. I really don't think it turns as clear as the regular Vanish, as I don't seem to catch quite as many fish on it as opposed to the regular. However it is alot easier to see to tie knots and for using with baits that need to have the line watched (plastic worms and lizards) If you have happened to have bought a bulk spool and need to dispose of it, please send it my way! -
I also like to fish for trash fish as well! I've had more trashcan slams than I can count In some circles I'm known as the Trash King!!! Just because a fish isn't considered a game fish doesn't mean that it isn't a Brute on the end of your line. In some states here the lowly Catfish is considered a gamefish with length and creel limits!

The best way to catch big Pike is to fish where big Pike are!!!

Crusher run and DGB (Dense Grade Base) are the best, I personally wouldn't use the asphalt because you need a smooth drum roller to compact it properly. CR and DGB can be compacted very well with a plate tamp that you can rent from almost any equipment rental places. Put it down in 4" thick layers and wet and compact with the tamp... you also need to remove all top soil and compact your subgrade before put down the CR or DGB. I agree with CH312 about concrete being your best bet... the freeze thaw cycles y'all get up there is very detremental to asphalt.

MY BOAT SANK! NEED HELP (update #3, May 9)
Greencoachdog replied to young_one's topic in General Discussion
I dunno, THAT MUCH water from a leak??? I own a Tracker Pro Deep V 17 and fished all day in it with the plug out once, water nrver came up thru the floor drain in the bottom deck! I noticed it was a bit sluggish at top speed, but thought I just needed a tune up. I finally figured out what happened when I put the boat back on the trailer and pulled it out of the lake... that's when the stream of water from hell came pouring out of the plug hole!!!... but now my bilge is clean! If the new boats take on that much water, I'll stick with my old one. -
