I was gonna go ice fishing too today till I poked my head out the door. I guess I'll have to wait for next weekend as well.

Don't know Binbrook well this was my first time fishing at this part of the lake and I was pretty far down the lake and the ice in some spots reached 8 inches and at some parts if you stepped on it you would fall right threw. It was very tricky out there so if your going to fish further down watch out.

We headed down there today but a bit further down the lake. Pretty much same story lots of dink perch and then moved to a new stop to try for something bigger and got a couple of huge hits, maybe from pike or bigger crappie but didn't land them. Went back to the perch hole caught some more then we were off, to windy and cold out there. Wanted to get a couple pics of my first time ice fishing so here they are.

It's not that they like them, When there spawning they swim with thier mouths open

Is it safe to be out on a lake with 4" of ice with no floater suite. I don't got one and after seeing alot of report were huts and cars are going threw, has got me thinking.

I usally don't use plastic and when I do use them most of the time they get snagged or if I'm lucky to get them back I toss em in the box and they usally lay there for the rest of the month till I clean the box out.

Catching and keeping is a diffrent story. They might have caught over 200 but how many did they keep? Don't believe everything you read...

I will probally be there next weekend with my brother in law and my dad. But still not to sure. Is there still a time curfew there that you have to be out at 8 or have they changed that for ice fishing?

Yes there are capr int here I got a bunch in the summer.Not to big tho maybe 5-6 lbs. Would give you an awsome fight on the ice rod if you could hook into one.

Sucks about the no fish but atleast you had fun. Love reading your posts Rich there full of excitement and laughter WTG! Keep on posting don't listen to the jerks that only rag on people and don't have anything nice to say.

I fished thier alot in the summer from shore and everytime we went we atleast got a few small walleye around 14 inch range. It's a fun place to fish but there are alot of snags there, gonna cost you a bit.
