Very jealous!

Eyes in Quinte have been hitting very well over the last few weeks. Within 3 hours of T.O. your best bets for numbers are Erie or Quinte.

Just wondering if anyone had been out of Port Maitland yet for eyes and if they have started showing up yet? I think Fishmaster starts his trips up around the start of July, any news would help! Thanks darren

Wondering if people can post the status of the spawn in various lakes. Might help people make an educated decision on there opening day choice of lakes. Darren

Just read it as well, that sucks! I went to see him last year at Rama and we were the first show of his new material. He was great....glad I saw him now. Garry2r has it right. Cradles can be tricky and dangerous at times. Its easy for a fish to get the hook in the cradle before he is in it! Buy a big Beckman or other quality net with a bag that is easy on the fins and LEAVE the fish in the water as you get your cutters and or pliers ready. If its going to take more then a few moments with the pliers simply cut the hooks with the bolt cutters and get a quick picture and let her go!

I will be trying this year, as I had to get all 3 carbs done due to high ethanol this spring. My mechanic says the best way to avoid ethanol damage in the off season is to run the engine dry by picnching the hose. ASpparently alot of boats running into this. I even used Stabil in it last fall but he says it doesnt matter, maybe the new formula addresses it. Thats and I am only going to run super in it from now on. Hope this helps.

Hey Lew Just bought 2 Optima duel purposes but cant tell you how they work yet as my onboard charger won't recognize the charge status on spiral cells. Just got a new charger. Give me a few weeks and I will be able to tell you ifg they are worth it. They are now 199 at costco compared to 279$ last year.

Didnt want to sound like a spoil sport but every 6 months someone comes out with this idea in a new flowery dress. When the US used to be the innovators in science they would have been the head of a real project llike this http://www.iter.org/ instaed of late joiners. The wind and sun may help but a massive investment in technology like this is required if we are to get out of this energy hunger the whole world craves. the ITER project was almost hosted in Darlington...... keep your fingers crossed they can get past the break point of energy in verses energy out. It really is mankinds only future for a cleaner environment.

So what energy source is being used to split the hydrogen from the oxygen in the water?????????? You will have to use a battery as an energy source to power the the electrolysis to generate the hydrogen and oxygen....... so your going to plug the car in....without a huge commitment to nuclear power this is simply shifting the source of energy dependence and greenhoouse gases. Wind and solar will not supply enough energy to power millions of these as well as industry as we kn ow it and todays power demand.. Any type of water eh........ How do you remove the deposits out of the water after you crack the hydrogen. What about the energy it will take to produce the distilled water...... Man I am getting sick of bad science.

Unfortunately ever lake is almost a case by case example. My favorite lake has had a MASSIVE shift in species, the MNR stocked walleyes in it and they have ended up competing with the once AWESOME largemouth population. It appears that in this struggle for forage the smallmouth population has exploded. I now catch smallies in all my largemouth spots and can catch 50-75 bass a day but they are all smallies no largies. I dont think anyone wants to see bed fishing ( even tho thats what it will be in 2 weeks since the temps are still low) but a more proactve management on certain waters IE Lake Erie by Ny for example. Ill end this with my plea to board memebers this year.... eat a bass let a walleye go this year. Its just good biology!

Has anyone seen any deals on the Spro frogs out there. I find they have the best hooking % but at 10 dollars plus it starts to get expensive when your in toothy critter water fishng for bass?

I remember fishing Dalrympal a few years ago on the pike openor. No matter where we went we caught bass. Water was 53 degrees so it must have been the first feeding movement of the year ( way too early for the spawn) We were throwing magnum spinnerbaits and jerkbaits but it didnt matter. I also think it may be time to look at new regs for some areas. i have been reading alot lately that most Ontario lakes are near or at carrying capacity for bass due to the last decade of warm weather. I think this year it will be eat a bass let a walleye go.

Well I broke down and picked up myself a Curado 300DSV today, hopefully I can get out on Saturday and burn some bucktails to see how it does. Someday will come that Peacock bass trip!

My buddie in Vineland was the first in his area to be diagnosed with it. I know check everything when I come back from my stand there.
