  1. I'm not beating on you Gerritt, but if you look at the big picture and had smoked some poor child darting into traffic, how then do you justify that, what do you say to that parent? I was in a rush to save my child, the hell with yours... I'd be more likely harping on the child care provider you have to make an intelligent decision. If your boy needed medical care, there's always 911 that will get you an ambulance. No fight, no flames, just honest thoughts.
  2. Okay, at 320K I can see an injector pump, just that I've seen some folks get hosed when not properly diagnosed, I almost had that happen, when the diesel mech showed up and said to the other mech, did you check the 50 amp fuze on the firewall for the glowplugs, 50cent piece almost cost me $700. New fuze $.50, put the old pump back in and ran from 1979 to 1990.
  3. Out of curiosity, how many km on that car Mo?
  4. I'll take a stab at it, my understanding, some rivers are open upstream a certain distance, and it will be noted in the regs by something like, "upstream to the railway bridge" (usually close to the shore) or a noted natural feature such as waterfalls, and someimes it's marked by a post with signs. If none of the above apply, then draw a natural line across the mouth of the river that intersects the land on each side. Some small bays are considered part of the shoreline where as other's may be specific.
  5. Take your screw along with the rubber "O" ring to your local Car Quest or other auto parts store(maybe NAPA), they should be able to match up the part.
  6. Pas de farces, I know what weeping tiles are, but was not aware that's what they call the plastic perforated drainage hose chez vous.
  7. One place not far from Barrie, 1/2 way to Angus and south, is the Wolfs Den, give them a call at 424-4867, excellent place. Then there's another one in Barrie at 728-1968 xt5250, found that in the Supershopper.com
  8. Mike: what the heck is a "french drain"?
  9. Number one: Amen Lew, extremely well said, Number two: Not picking on anyone, however the next time anyone is doing breakneck speed by recklessly rushing to the scene, think of how many other people they have put at risk trying to save another. Imagine hitting someone at more than one and a half times the speed limit, or "T" boning someone, taking out a couple of other people and destroying someone elses family. Like Lew said, "pay the fine and get on with it" Or maybe you want some graphic details of the last one I got to first, simply because of speed.
  10. I must say I have to thank my father (gone for a long time already) for buying his Ariens 7hp/24", in the winter of 1969/70, it's still running like day one. Excellent machine, parts are still available if needed. It's had 2 mufflers, 3 belts and one friction drive wheel in 36/37 years, can't complain. Change oil, pump up tires, add gas and blow snow. If I had to choose another model it would be either a Bolens or Toro. In my opinion, the rest like Murray, Yard work, you'd better have a snow shovel on standby.
  11. Maybe you should try selling freezers north of 60...
  12. Yes it's normal, my Honda does the same thing, there's a slight indent on the one side between the upper and lower pieces, just a drain port.
  13. So whats the company that's giving you the shaft?
  14. Many, many years ago, (40) or so, I can remember my dad saying, never mind the rest of those numpties, but you just wait til the orient starts pushing across the pacific and they'll be hungry for food and work and do anything for it.
  15. I really don't think so, what you have translated works out to a "large perch", but the kind of perch that a bird sits on. Like a roost.
  16. Here's the dealer list, DC Marine in keswick is a close one, the rest: http://www.strikemaster.com/dealers/canada.html
  17. Strikemaster has a 4 stroke this year, no bigger than the 2 strokes.
  18. Nice work but, have you ever tried to walk in a pair of downhill skiboots? I think you might get the same effect of not being able to bend the sole of your foot. I think that's why you'll see most commercial made creepers are flexible.
  19. Maybe it's just the grey background with the tan/sandy inner colour that makes it sort of drab or neutral, need some lively colours.
  20. So far, staying logged in at home, no hiccups, but I can log in both home and work.
  21. Little Lk for equipment test and then Simcoe, Nippissing in Jan for a weekend on the lake.
  22. I think the only other one that got it right is dabluz, brining is using nothing more than salt to dehydrate and firm the meat, I've been led to believe that adding all the other stuff leads to marinating and imparts a whole different taste to the fish.
  23. When it's any wind between north and east, or high barometer, it's lure shining time.
  24. Mitts over gloves anytime 'cause you loose far too much heat with single finger instead of all 4 together in the same big hole. Next thing is to keep a good towel handy, 'cause some have the habit to throw off the mitts when trying to crank up the fish and then unhook it, next thing, wet hands go back into dry gloves...not for long. I would try and find a pair of army artic mitts at a surplus store, they even have the booger buster wool on the face of the mitt for warming up your nose. Then get a pack or two of the handwarmers when things get real miserable.
