  1. This one has no animals in it, but I imagine the participants can't be too bright. http://www.videosift.com/video/The-Insane-Human-Slingshot
  2. The sort of funny part is that out in the prairies, people catch them in the spring, smoke and can them, and you would be hard pressed to tell the difference from any other "quality" fish.
  3. Well I for one beg to differ, I would believe the average 10lb Carp would turn your 13' noodle rod into something like broken uncooked spagetti. We had a 10lb carp pull a 12' cartopper up the river with not too much effort.
  4. I have no problem with lowering the Perch limits on Simcoe to say 30/15 for Sport/Con licence. Most of the other limits are okay, if slot size limit's are needed, I'm fine with that too. I would say my biggest bone is playing C&R with fish once you have reached your "allowable" limit. You have your fish, go catch something else. Going out every day to poke holes in fish to see how many you can catch, to me, it's sort of boasting, ego boosting or whatever you want to call it.
  5. Hard to believe, checked the link, still under 80lbs for a long shaft. www.honda-marine.com/mar_pdf/31882621.pdf
  6. For safety sake, no, I wouldn't want it to drop off going down the highway. My old 84 Honda 7.5 weighed no were near, 100+, they are 72lbs.
  7. Best 'o health to you Brian and for many years to come.
  8. This one took a couple of minutes...Badly bent marine railway... You could advertise free launching for very large boats and then claim the first one bent it all to spagetti, make him pay for a new one... Honestly, hope it's not beyond the point of repair. Maybe snatch a couple of rails from some backwoods CN line, they're on strike and will never kow, I sure as poop won't tell.
  9. Not so hasty, this may be the perfect time to do some spring cleaning, add a box of cold water Tide and take her for a ride up and down a bumpy road, see how much foam you can make.
  10. Better that then Harrold Pecker.
  11. There was one model a few years back that needed to have a cable guide installed on the boom to prevent the cable from jumping off the pulley, Scotty sent the guide post paid, two minutes to install, done, problem solved.
  12. Scotty, tilt out of the way when not needed, lower power consumption than others and they are about the fastest retrive. Made in Canada, very good warranty, never had to use it in 10 years.
  13. How about going back to the original question, nothing to do with out of season, TRANSPORT OF LIVE FISH, legal or not?
  14. Kinda difficult for live fish to swim around in your freezer eh?
  15. "Overnight" charging with a solar panel?
  16. For anyone interested that do their own maintenace on boat motors, Princess Autos next sale has the water flushing attachment for the lower unit on sale($4.99) along with the lower unit oil pump($5.99). Sale starts 10 April. There's also electrical anti corrosion spray, good for trailer connectors and also hitch pin locks. Makes things little cheaper for the DIYer.
  17. No no no Merc, ya have to get the E-tick, it's so much more than ....sorry Wayne couldn't resist
  18. Amen, that's my idea of it too, no pushing required, it's like a horse and water.
  19. I think it's fortunate that there are rules about posting...my tongue and lip is getting sore. If you want to join a club to go fish that's fine, but it has nothing to do with taking a kid, yours or others fishing and starting a pleasurable pastime.
  20. I got rid of the carpet on the bunks and got some "Glide Sliks", something like the sliders on snowmobiles, makes unloading/loading a whole lot easier, the stuff is like teflon, screws onto the top of the bunks, available at BPS.
  21. Everything you ever wanted to know/learn about replacing bearing and repacking them is here: http://www.united-trailers.com/Uploads/Manuals/Manual_6.pdf
  22. Rivers only open from #89 north, not really considered the "uuper sections"
  23. I wouldn't swear on it, but I thought CTC carried the Amsoil, 75/80-90 lower unit oil.
  24. Ditto, No Brian, I didn't mean to lump all the 200HP + or- fishermen in the same boat, (it would have to be pretty big) , but, quite often you see the power hungry, look at me, have to make up for a small D, roar through the middle of the fishing pack types. You see it every year at the Perch Derby, and No Frank, driving the big boat should have zero influence whether or not a young person goes fishing or not. Not everyone can afford to make such purchases to keep up with the Jones or Adamos. The last bad encounter I had, about 2-3 years ago in Barrie around october, the two gabonies with the bass boats, from 0to60 in twenty feet, cause a massive wake to stop twenty feet further, whohaw and carry on like total idiots, ya, they were filming a show. And no, I don't own the lake or a cottage, I just try and do my best to respect those around there.
