  1. If you're referring to the old nitwit from the Canadian Tire commercial claining to power everything in his boat by solar, he was full of bullchunks. Even the large panel (15 watt) will only give you 1 amp under the most ideal conditions, full sunlight, panel angled at 90 degress to the sun and adjusted to follow the sun for the whole day..so from about 930 to 1730 daily is about 8 hoursx 1 amp = 8 amps back into the battery. You figure out how any good days it will take to recharge. If you use it to maintain a fully charged battery, they will do fine.
  2. Like Gary, SimcoeBob and Lew said, it's not worth the coin. It's a good thing that the larger tackle stores don't charge an entrance fee to browse. For me it would be roughly $30 fuel, $10 to park, $12 to get in, a couple cups of coffee and maybe a dusty donut, so we'll say $60 and likely feel like it's shopping on the 24th of December.
  3. Lets see them duke it out with the African killer bees.
  4. Late ice, lousy weather and interference from work.
  5. Like Mike said, I'd make him dig through what he was throwning out and make him cook chowder out of it, waste not, want not. Anyone can fillet with a chainsaw.
  6. Shipshaw (les Barrages a Arvida) does have some nice fish, everything from perch on up, but do check on the specific requirements for each specie of fish, some you need a daily tag etc, some areas you may need a guide cause you'll be considered a non resident( best I can remember). See if you can get hold of "dabluz" local member from there. They may still have the two ponds open on the Base( Parc Lambert) Lambert Park for the blokes or tetes carres(flash cube)
  7. I think that Nipppy board exploded when the problems at lake simcoe fishing arose.
  8. Well I don't know what I'm doing wrong, clicked on the TV screen for walleye and this is what I get: "Unfortunately we are unable to find the article you are requesting. Please check the URL you have typed in, or try searching to help you find what you are looking for."
  9. Great report, nice pictures, can't wait til next year.
  10. Unfortunately none of those links are available any more.
  11. Hey, don't you be givin out my name.. . 45-50 seconds per fish, 2 fillets, no bones, no skin.
  12. Sorry, but I would never consciously buy anything, (well maybe TP), with a Humminbuzzard label on it. Have seen too many guys curse at and swear at their products. That not being the worst, it's when you have to duck to avoid the junk coming back down on re entry after being space launced by mad fisher persons.
  13. You shouldn't have too much of a problem, stick to the obvious packed trails and you're good to go.
  14. I don't see anywhere in the rules book that Sony has to provide you with this option, it's a well known fact that warranties across the border can often be non existant or not honoured, one of those buyer beware things.
  15. It would appear that when the rod tip goes down the spring is tripped and the flag goes up. I think it should be attached to a remote low output tazer located in your pants, give you a bit of notification.
  16. I knew I read it somewhere: http://www.ontarioanglerawards.com/Downloa...eets/Splake.pdf
  17. It's a laketrout/speckle cross, usually incapable of reproducing.
  18. Get yourself a pair of ski goggles, works just as well and a whole lot cheaper.
  19. You might want to try Minets Pt, 1/3 to 1/2 way out to the huts, around 20-30 fow, a few years back we always caught a nice mess of perch, may try this weekend.
  20. Picked up a mini Spin Doctor, e chip flasher and an extension for my Scotty rod holder. You'll have to "visualize", camera is hiding somewhere.
  21. One of lifes sad moments, I'm late for work, appointment, school, looser excuses, hope your daughter has a good Doc and can make a full recovery.
  22. Okay, learned something new of value, was aware of the age thing, but not the requirement to wear it, thanks.
