  1. leaving at 5:30 Saturday morning for the north end of Pigeon, Sunday or Monday I'd like to hit Georgian Bay for some musky if the winds are not to bad.
  2. nice catch, smallies and carp sure are fun to catch
  3. Last Thursday I decided I would go to Waubeshene and fish for some Musky, the forecast was for 5 km winds but I think the weatherman was wrong as you can tell by this first picture.I trolled until it became uncomfortable and then I went to an area with less wind. this was the only Musky I caught this day, it was caught trolling going over a hump at about 12 feet deep, estimated the size to be about 32-36 inches. I was trolling along at one point and as I passed over a hump I marked a fish sitting on the edge and figured it was a Musky so I reeled in and was going to go back for it and another boat trolled over the spot and caught a larger fish, I heard the guy tell his buddy it was a 50 inch fish. Can't wait to get back up there and maybe land one of those bigger ones. The next three pictures are water shots of the same fish as I was fishing alone and didn't take the fish out of the water.
  4. nice colours on that fish, congrats.
  5. thanks for the report, that camera sure takes nice pictures.
  6. here is a post from august 31, a place called Watson Canoe was mentioned and the fact that they had good prices caught my attention. http://www.ofncommunity.com/forums/index.p...recommendations
  7. another great report, those are some nice smallies, congrats.
  8. I have the exact same rod but the 13 ft and love it, I also have a 11 1/2 shakesphere and never use it. I'd recommend you exchange it and get the 13 ft.
  9. nice story to go along with the pics, thanks for sharing.
  10. I use Top Gun marine in Holland Landing area. Fast and good service , give him a call at 905-775-0862.
  11. I have 2 27 series deep cycle batteries and the last three weeks they haven't held a good charge. Took them out of the boat and removed the covers and could see the plates and no water. My question is if I fill them up with water again will they be any good or are they garbage? I have had an onboard charger plugged in and it goes on trickle charge and that is what I think helped evaporate the water. also how often do you have to check your batteries?
  12. very nice shots of the scenery and congrats on the fish.
  13. hair rig with 4 kernels of corn.........didn't want the carp guys to feel left out.
  14. spinnerbait for me also, cover lots of water.
  15. sounds like you had a great day . I have never fished lower buckhorn before but after reading your report I am definitly going to try it, thanks.
  16. nice report, that fish has some nasty teeth.
  17. nice report and pics. looks like Patrick was using your lucky spinnerbait.
  18. Great report MJL. Nice of you to let the young lad reel the fish in , I bet he was really excited reeling it in.
  19. jaw spredders( approx $2.99) to hold the mouth open incase the fish is hooked deep, needle nose pliers. I personally like spinner baits as they have single hooks and are usually easy to remove.
  20. Nice report. You sure know where to find the brookies. congrats.
  21. Great report. I think the look on your face in the musky picture was after looking at the scar(lympoma) on the other side of the fish.
  22. just thought I'd give an update, I have been using Top Gun marine in Bradford, fast service and they know what they are doing.
  23. On the Scugog river this past weekend we had a jetski come real close to us at full throttle, I don't think people realize what could happen if they hit something in the water at high speeds , chances are they would end up in your boat if they lost control.
  24. nice video of the osprey, the picture of the Musky turned out great.
  25. if you login the background you selected will appear. at least that's how it worked for me
