  1. fantastic shots showing the colors of the fish, I really like the zoom in shots, thanks for sharing.
  2. Great action shots with the fish. also is there something stuck in that one ducks beak?
  3. Fished for crappie in the spring on Rice Lake , when you find the schools of fish it is a lot of fun. I fished with EHG from OFC and we fished the north end of Pigeon Lake a few days, caught some musky and lots of smaller bass. Also fished Scugog,Balsam,Lower Buckhorn,Pigeon, Little Bald with TBAYBOY and caught a few muskies and bass. I personally lost more musky on Scugog than I caught but its nice seeing them attack your bait right beside the boat. Enjoyed fishing with both guys and will have to get together again next year. I fished the slop and lily pads a lot less this year and think thats why I caught smaller bass, seems like the bigger ones are hiding in that stuff. Something about smelly carp in an area where there is little wind, that kept me away from those areas.
  4. You probably fish the eastern tribs and they are like that unfortunately. I don't think violence is the answer. The one thing is maybe this guy is crowding you hoping you will leave, and I personally wouldn't give him the satisfaction. If he tries to take your drift away cast over his line and continue fishing . My personal favourite was the guy with the float reel that shows up and goes to the top of the pool and decides to drift the whole pool, and cut the drift off for the rest of the people in the pool. Again my solution was to cast over their line and keep fishing.
  5. On Sunday I decided to give Scugog one last try for the year, I fished on the Port Perry side in 5-6 feet of water. The water temp was pretty cold 39 degrees and there was ice forming in patches on the lake, these gulls were taking a rest on some. this was the main bait I was going to use today (cast out and slow retrieve). I fished the Port Perry side for 2 hrs, then decided to fish just south of Cesarea, fished that area for a couple of hrs and headed back to the west side for another hour and called it a day. No fish were landed but it was a learning experience (a cold one).
  6. great report and replies, thanks.
  7. Sure looked like a great day to be out there. I have met that CO twice this year, the last time he was with a young female OPP officer and I kind of thought he was showing off a little as he did most of the talking, I guess thats just his personality. Good to see them out checking boats though.
  8. what size sinker did you use, surprised you didn't rig one up with 2 sinkers for deeper water when you know the fish is under the boat. they do look pretty good.
  9. I previously bought a used boat in the states and the dealer gave me a temporary OHIO plate to tow it back to Toronto, the plate was for 30 days.
  10. nice clean chunky fish, congrats .
  11. great post Misfish, do they have a final standings somewhere? I'd like to check it out.
  12. canal lake also has crappie, you might want to try a slip float and minnows on the west side of the causeway.
  13. my 1999 18 ft skeeter with 150 yamaha, almost time to put it away for the winter
  14. congrats on the fish and thanks for posting
  15. fine tuning your shoulder so you can cast bigger baits, good idea. get well soon.
  16. do they have water access for parking a boat? also 7 acres gives people alot of privacy which I think they wouldn't mind paying for.
  17. I decided to do a little musky fishing Sunday on Georgian Bay. Arrived at the Victoria Harbour launch at about 8:30 and decided that the water wasn't deep enough to launch , so I decided to launch at Pier 69 in Waubeshene ($15).The weather forecast was for 5 km winds and they were right as you could tell by this first picture. it was like this until around noon and then the wind picked up a bit. The first 3 hours I trolled then did some casting around some shoals and had no luck. Moved to a more sheltered area from the wind , I was casting my spinnerbait in 8 feet of water over a weed bed and this 38 inch Musky attacked my bait right beside the boat. Some people fishing the area took these next two photos and e-mailed them to me. Had one other fish hit in the same area beside the boat but I missed it and that was it for the day.
  18. just wanted to give an update, I went to Victoria Harbour on the weekend to use the launch and there was only a foot of water, decided to launch in wAUBESHENE AT PIER 69 FOR $15 .
  19. if you check www.theweathernetwork.com it shows that it is going to be more windy and raining on saturday, so sunday would probably be the day to go. lots of perch and maybe some pike in cook's bay or maybe a musky if you go to scugog, try scugog island marina or harry's bait and tackle for simcoe. good luck where ever you go
  20. those photoshop pictures are pretty funny, congrats on your fish.
  21. nice fish , should be an excellent report with lots of pics

  24. Good to see you got into a few fish, we also got caught in the storms and decided to park at someones dock for 1/2 hour till it blew over and continued fishing after. Wow, 45 boats in one area .
  25. there is a free one in Victoria Harbour that is a little shallow, after I launch I use the trolling motor to get me to deeper water , i have a 18 foot fiberglass with a shallow draft
