  1. man... I'd settle for an 89 topaz at this point.
  2. I own that exact reel. Have it on an Avid crankbait rod. Love the entire setup. Smooth long casts and lighter then anything. You'll love em.
  3. Don't even notice them. If they bug ya that much just don't look.
  4. There's been a lot of great reports posted on the board lately... big fish and lots of em. Glad to see guys and gals gettin into nice fish and sharing your stories. However, something I've been noticing that I wanted to bring up.... I've seen a lot of big fish being mishandled for pics. Mainly, fingers in the gills. I don't want to discourage posting of pics, rather incourage proper handling of fish. Even for a big walleye you only need 2 fingers under the gill plate and never should any fingers go between the gill rakers. Also, go under the gill that is on your side of the fish, not the camera side. Keep up the good fishin everyone. Cheers, ben.
  5. Wow! Serious props to you 2 for an amazing night. All at a new location too.... think you'll go back?!?! hahaha. That 32x20 is a real impressive fish (as are the rest of em). I'd be going to advanced taxidermy for a replica if I caught that pig. Thanks for the report.
  6. I stand corrected. Anyhow, I was just giving my opinion based on the 2 rods he listed. I've never used a Maina or a Compre but there's no doubt Lew knows what he's talking about. Good luck choosing a new Musky Rod.
  7. Great report man. You fellas landed some nice fish. Well done.
  8. Another head Cheff here. Love to cook.
  9. One thing I'll add about St.Croix is that it's worth the upgrade to Avid since they have a lifetime warranty and Premier is only a year. If the avid ever breaks send it back and you'll get a brand new one. I've had excellent experiences w/ st.croix warranty program.
  10. Congrats!! Truly amazing day. Thanks for the great report.
  11. Any google search should get you started. There's even outfitters from Nip that advertise on this site.
