  11. Like the others have said here, Ive used muffs on most of my ooutboards in the past with no issues. I would check the for a blockage in the water discharge tube. You might have dislodged some debree on your second start up. GOOD LUCK !!!
  12. You could cast medium sized bucktails and bodybaits for pike and muskie all day with that real. I have a smaller ABU levelwind I like to go to when taking a break from the bigger baits.....Also really great real for bass and pike in heavy cover... Cheers !!

  14. If thats all I got for a fish fry that day,you bet but like trapshooter said nothing too big or out of warm water.... I do prefer walleye or a fresh fillet of pike if I had a choice.
  15. Jigger, 80lb Triple Fish mono is plenty strong enough and stealthy for toothy critters and you can tie it directly to your hardware without having to use crimps. Takes only a few minutes to replace a damaged leader with a new one.....that I like.... Cheers !!
  16. UF, Take him out a couple of times with the bare essentials in the canoe.....He'll get used to it and find himself a place where he's not always getting in trouble, preferably in the front...When all that is established and his behavoir is acceptable bring some fishin tackle on board and introduce him to a couple bluegills...... Good Luck!!!
