  5. If you are familiar with the type of roller blinds that you cane get for you vehicle to help block the sun out. Do you know where I cane get them 4 feet long
  6. May not be a short at all.Like ch said it could be worn out brushes or seized bearing. With all electrical windings you could have a short with out it blowing the fuse. The windings have failed in a way the it draws more amperage(more amps the higher the heat). First check to see if you can turn the motor by hand.Then if the motor turns take off the cover and find the ground wire that leads to the motor.With a remote ground to the battery place the multi meter in parallel to the ground from the motor. Turn it on.If the is voltage on the ground you have a short in the motor.If no short remove the ground wire and move back and do the same test on the ground of the amp card.
  7. In the temperatures we are having right now.You should be charging about 2.45 volts per cell for max speed of recharge.

  9. Change the spark plugs. Make sure the connections on every thing is clean and tight.

  12. With the track system I can install my riggers and rod holders,The salty rod holders for muskie and just rod holders for planer boards.
  13. Your engine needs to go up one set of holes.The cavitation plate should be level with the bottom of the boat. It is rare that the engine is sitting right down on the mount. Also get rid of the double nut,This should not be used in high vibration areas. Get some stover nut,It`s a must.

  16. When I got my first one back in the 80`s it was called a engine saver not a transom saver. Used for a safety if the hydraulics ever failed. Stop the engines lower unit from hitting the road.
  17. Wasn`t the transom saver,But the hydraulic manual relieve valve in the tilt support that saved it. As the truck hit the engine it open and dump the oil allowing it to move.
  18. Why not just tighten the steer pin or replace the worn bushings. If the engine is shaking that much on the trailer,I would hate to see how much it bounces around on the water.

  20. Run the engine at a consistent rpm of 2000rpm`s. For it is not about the rpm`s but having a consistent heat. Changing the rpm`s just a few hundred rpm`s can dramatically change the temperature of the block and moving parts in the engine causing warpage and blown gaskets. Do exactly as the manual says.
