  1. Like the common sense of. I HAVE THE RIGHT OF WAY
  2. I'd change up the bucktail for a double cowgirl and spellel litil gooder then skipper.
  3. With battery power the biggest factor would be the type of ice you are drilling threw. Blue ice being the most dense the harder the drill would work drawing more amperage from the battery. Like the difference between soft wood.hard wood.non ferrous and steel.
  4. It's not the filter in the house I'm asking about,But the fresh air induct.Kind a like a cold air induction on a engine.Element filters are washable. This way it would help to prolong the filter in the furnace keeping cost down on filter changes. For I would not be sucking in dust from outside.
  5. I replaced the furnace this year and I was wondering if I could use a element filter on the air intake. I would still use the furnace filter also.
  6. Higher octane level makes the combustion chamber run cooler. The cooler the chamber the denser the air and or fuel if carburated. increasing combustion at TDC. In turn creates a higher combustion ratio. This only happens in engine that are made to run 87 octane not high compression engines. in a car engine it will automatically idiot you timing for this problem.Engines with out self timing it could be detrimental.
  7. It's the condensation build up in the fuel tank. Since most fuel tanks are built of metal you are going to get condensation. With E-10 absorbing water you will get a little more condensation in the tank. All fuels that have been stored for more then 3 months should be changed. Now running a higher octane fuel in a engine that's not designed for it is bad.The higher the octane the more compression.Which is really hard on the rings.which can cause premature wearing or crack the rings. Engines designed for high octane have stronger rings and valves.
  8. Just crunch some numbers using the text you added. Ethanol based E-10 by it's self can only absorb 0.0130 of a gallon of water. That's at 7000 parts per 1.000.000 This is a far cry from 0.5% you need for separation.
  9. So a gasoline that is filled with detergents that break down the lubricant properties of gas is going to last longer, then a gas with a natural ingredient.
  10. Had a guest 10-10 on old boat.Have pro charger 10-10-10 on the lund. If the pro charger didn't come with the boat.I would have went 15-15-15 pro charger.
  11. So whats the reasoning behind having no ethanol and running a higher octane?
  12. Rack and pinion.Has better tension control.
  13. Gunk build up from the OIL and gas.
  14. The main force to drive a MOTOR.
  15. Asolo.A really go pair cost over $200,But the last pair of hikers you'll buy.
  16. Then you lift the kicker and use the main.
  17. Hey Geoff. The the government is giving great incentive for training in the tech skills. You are never to old to learn a new skill.
  18. One thing that get me, Is the kicker engine for safety.Yes it does give you a piece of mind. But come on lets get real. How many people have a back up engine in their automobile. Do you have a spare lawn mower so you know you will get the grass cut. If engines where that un-reliable. Would you really want a kicker for back up. The best piece of safety equipment you can have is a VHF radio.
  19. First off I never ask for money when I go fishing.I'm going with or with out you. When a friend asks to take them fishing.I expect at least half or all depending on how close of a friend he is.
  20. You are right Lew.Wouldn't make much of a difference. Myself I would go 4 blade aluminum.Better hole shot and a nice even torque at WOT. A 3 blade with new technology will make a difference in the boat when load light, but nothing you would notice fully load. Where you would notice better performance all round with a 4 blade. A 4 blade aluminum isn't much more cost of a 3.
  21. For better performance all around there's only one way to go. STAINLESS STEEL. If you don't want to dollar up try a four blade.
  22. Use the oil from work.I figured that it keeps the 14L engines running I'll use it and it's free. It's a lubico product, made in Hamilton. The $7.83 is the price of the filter.
  23. Oil change on the Duramax $7.83.
  24. Stupid is what the stupid do.Doesn't madder high end or low end. This still happens.
  25. In the early 80's took off a valve cover put it on the bench,Turned back around and the slug build up made it look like I never took the cover off.Oils have come along way since then.
