  1. I like this kind of science One question: Why they include everything, let's say 1 km below see level in his comparison (6,355.750 km earth radius) ?
  2. It only proves that you know how to use Photoshop
  3. This was not ordinary either bird in jet engine
  4. I get this list from time to time and it is always a PITA . Hiding or destroing it does not help, it reapear again in the least expected moment ( like hooking the boat to car ) . This time the list was very short, but when I've looked at it I 1. Laminate floor in one bedroom and foyer upstairs. 2. Hardwood (oak ) stairs. No big deal with laminate but the stairs??????. Well, I can always turn to the pros. After getting some estimates I've decided to do it myself ( I have some woodworking tools ) I've spent "few" hours in the garage cutting, glueing, jointing, planing, sanding, staining, and just today I've put final touches to the new stairs. I did it for about 1/3 of the lowest estimate. Constructive criticism accepted
  5. Personally I know nothing about this, but we have internet Check here http://www.findmall.com/
  6. Look at the shadow. It is waaaay more then 2² meters
  7. Check ( google it) Audio Research. I do not know the prices, but I think there is dealer in Canada
  8. Then do not go over 150 W per channel with amp ( about 50 %). Technics is the best in this range There are few more variables in this. I do not know the specs ( even CV specs can be little bit out of wack ). if it is possible take a picture of your woofer (and post it ) in front and most important !!!!!!!!! from the back ( and I'm not talking about cabinet ( just a woofer itself).. Just from experience. 12" woofers can only give you about 25 W of power without distortion. On the other end, 8" can give you 150W without distortion ( I have them ). Bottom line is, I need to see what you have to give you an idea. If you really perfect sound "freek" , and have some money to spend - buy vacuum tube amp.
  9. What kind of power ( speakers) you have in mind ????
  10. July 26 2008 , playoffs finals (golf) Toronto ML vs. OFC
  11. Exactly !!!!. I'm looking for specific item for ice fishing. At BPS is $99.00 at LB is 119.00 and at my local "friendly and customer oriented ( I like to supprt the local guy " store, is $ 159.00. . My support for local store ends when I "sense" a ripp-off. Is it worth for me to drive to BPS from Oshawa ( considering time and fuel) to save 50 -60 $ ????, not really. But if I put few purchases together I can save enough to make the trip worthwhile. Another twist to the story is the fact that I was in my local "friendly and customer oriented" store about 1 hr ago. In last few years I've spent quite few $$$$ there, but I won't do it again ( they do not know me anymore) . Bottom line is: I won't pay for something I need ( or want ) 50+ % more just to feel "good " ( supporting local bussiness)
  12. Couple months ago I was driving in north Oshawa ( just north of airport), when realy big buck crossed the road about 50 yards in front of my car . I've stopped and he stopped ( in the middle of the road) After about 15 sec looking at each other he slowly dissapeared in the woods on the other side of the road . I'm not a hunter, but comparing his size and overall image to pictures on the web, I'm pretty sure it was 10-pointer , and really big
  13. Yup, and they are "dirty" , you can see it
  14. Well, it can be considered as equivalent to Trans Canada Highway ( about 2/3 of it )
  15. Few more

  21. latest update (snowfall) Saturday Storm Snowfall Update (from accuweather blog) Saturday, December 15, 2007 Major snowstorm in the works from southern Ontario through southern Quebec and into northern New Brunswick. The expected track of this storm puts much of the region in a very favorable area for widespread heavy snow. Increasing northeast winds will cause moderate to heavy drifting through Sunday night. This will probably be one of the heaviest snowstorms in quite some time for parts of southwestern and eastern Ontario. Here are the new updated snowfall accumulations going up through Quebec. If anything, these updated forecasts for the London to Toronto to Ottawa region may still be not enough, but I want to see the next model run this afternoon. I will update areas farther east and northeast later today........ Windsor, Ont.......15-25 cm Saturday night into Sunday morning London, Ont.....15-25 cm Saturday night into Sunday am St. Catharines, Ont....30-40 cm Saturday night into Sunday, major blowing and drifting issues as well Hamilton, Ont........26-36 cm Saturday night into Sunday, major blowing and drifting. 22. Not much of a surprise. It is only confirmation, that to be a " democraticaly elected representative" your IQ should be <=12.5 . Let see what we can ban just in case. Pitbulls - already done Guns - see above Snow - this is little bit tricki because of forecasters, thus ban them too Cars - see above ( to much snow - ban driving ) Somebody drowned under ice - ban the ice fishing, ATV went through the ice - ban ATV's, sled - the same , to make it easier ban winter alltogether. boat capsized - ban the boats And so on and on and on ............. Then!!!! ban the taxes, no we cannot ban our heritage, "goodwill" of people, what makes every canadian proud, no we cannot touch this . Lets find something else. Eureka, we can ban beer . Then we will have revolution ( let me think - if they ban Molson Ex I will support it ). lets call it "Friday funny"
  23. Considering accuracy of the forecasts, I'm going to predict tht we will have somwhere between 5 - 55 cm . But I can be wrong
