  1. So I blew a bearing on the 407. I've got everything replaced but the dust cap. Not sure if it's from wear on the hub or it's just an odd size but I can't find a fit. Will I be able to continue my trip without a dust cap or do I need to turn around?
  2. I used Triton industrial bilge cleaner from CT. My bilge pump seems to be working well but it still looks like crap down threre. It's a tight space to get to in my boat and with the cleaner setting I couldn't spend any time scrubbing with the fumes.
  3. I bought a bilge pump cleaner a few days ago. I'm going to use it today. I'll let you know how it goes
  4. Google cottage rental Ontario. I've used most of the first 10 company's over the years. All good experiences even when mishaps happen.
  5. Just bought the Stratic FK c3000hg. Had the Ci4+ in my hand and the FK just felt more solid. Spent $350 tax in and spooled with 20lb PP. I think I'm going to put it on a 7' med heavy, fast tip Shimano Crucial. Thanks for the input.
  6. I think you make more money on air bnb with the nightly rental fees but I was talking more the Ontario specific cottage rental sites. There is at least a half dozen good ones.
  7. I'm going to use a sub pump cleaner under my deck today. Lots of oil and crap down there.
  8. Use one of the big rental company's to rent out your cottage. That way your covered under a contract with deposits should any problems arise.
  9. All gone from CT
  10. Looking for a new utility spinning reel. I'd like to keep the price around $200. I've always bought Shimano stratics but I'm open to other brands
  11. That was awesome!! Spring cats is always on the to do list and never happens.
  12. Ive killed a few movers over the last 8 years landscaping over bad terrain. I started with the bigger is better mentality when buying to later realize smaller, simpler units are easier to handle and fix.
  13. My curado 300ej holds 105 yards of 80lb braid. I'd guess the average cast would be less than 50 yards.
  14. I've never came remotely close to spooling my curado. I think I need a casting lesson from you lol
  15. I guess at the end of the day, a few less feet in a cast Is worth the less stress of line digging in to the spool. 80lb PP has never failed me or given me any problems and I like my spool filled to the max for better line pick up. I've been using mono backing for years and never got to the backing but 50lb mono is good peace of mind. Trolling lines get shorter every year. I used to troll 150' back and now 10-35' at most. Thanks for all the replies
  16. Just picked up a Diawa Lexa 400 HSL-P for throwing D-10s. I noticed when reaching for 80lb power pro that there are some new types of PP with thinner diameter. When I first started Muskie fishing I had a brief spell with 65lb test till I lost a few lures backlashing on casts. anyone used these lines? Does the thinner diameter dig in the spool? Any difference on casting?
  17. Can't help on charters but for lodging there is a motel in Mitchels bay that has rooms with a bunch of bunk beds in it, beers and food next door or stay in a Windsor and party on Ouelette street
  18. The used market sucks right now. I've been looking with no luck. My first boat I went with a bass boat contrary to advise I got here. 7 years later I'm looking for my next boat and it will be a deep v walk through to take advantage of the Great Lakes close by. My advise is don't rush your decision, get the motor pressure tested, take it for a water test drive, leave room in the budget for tune up, bearing replacement for the trailer, extra hull plugs lol. USA seems the best place to buy right now just for variety reason. Good luck. Exciting times
  19. That's pretty good! I'm at a wedding this October. I'll book these guys up
  20. Is that $400 per person?
  21. Thanks spinnerbaitking
  22. Sound like a small business going through the learning curve. I'm not a fan of their stuff but I know a bunch of guys that are. Hopefully they bounce back. I like to see small Canadian businesses do well
  23. I'll be there, now I know the sportsman show is in the same venue I'll go to that too. Anyone have a link to admission coupons? Is BPS tax free during these events?
  24. I heard all the 2-3 year old truck go south of the border to take advantage of the exchange rate. I'm looking for a used truck now and the prices are crazy
