  1. Man, I could only imagine the traffic on the Monday across the city to Hamilton when the traffic starts in Bowmanville. IF he's got to leave earlier then what has been planned, then he must pony up the moola. Sounds like maybe there is a little whippage going on with him?
  2. If Bass Cat made a multi-species boat like a Ranger 620 or 621 you'd be seeing this same boat building process report from me. Awesome ride JP! Did you sell your other "awesome" ride? That's a good buy if not.
  3. I hit the smaller eastern trib yesterday, she's loaded. Super spooked however. Had to walk down stream and drift somewhat blind before getting close to the pool and shutting it down instantly. Singles and itsy bitsy stones were the ticket. Wish I had a couple of the ones Spiel tied! Water level is pretty low but the creek still looks healthy. A good rain and they should clear out in a hurry.
  4. Ok, I can't do the whole thread... too much drool. Awesome boat bud! You'll love it! And good call on the longer shaft troller!
  5. I feel for you Daryl, sure puts a damper on the day. If I was with my daughter I would leave too. However, if I wasn't with her, different story. I know of two areas on Pigeon you will try and be kicked out of, one is a trailer park and the other is a "residential area". Sometimes it's not worth the headache of dealing with the police etc... however, sometimes it is. Terry nailed it, they normally just defuse the situation.
  6. Hopefully we have a good rain coming soon so these fish can get out. On the waters I fish the numbers are atleast 5x what they have been previously. Heading out tonight to a smaller trib, hopefully I don't run into what you did Fang.
  7. Glad you and Lonnie got into them, I am sure he got some great shots. Excellent photographer. Haven't seen him in a while. Lonnie is a great guy, had him out for crappie years ago on Simcoe for a shoot.
  8. Great post. That ladder is a life saver, literally. We were filming a show one time and I set the hook off balance and fell right off the deck off the bass boat into a huge slop mat in 5 ft of water. Took 2 guys to get me back in, if I was alone, not sure I could of.
  9. Yeah Roy/Marc, whatever he said.
  10. It is refreshing to have experienced the best opener in recent memory. Fish were stacked with the low water and lack of rain. Especially in the branches off the main rivers/creeks. Ready to eat if you were stealthy enough. Spent the day Saturday fishing a small branch almost laying on my belly not to spook them.... awesome weekend. I love the super stealth approach. Reminded me of the early 90's a little. You know your into it when the pool lightens up at dawn and all you see are tails in the slack water angled towards bottom. Anyone else find this opener amazing?
  11. So as far as LTD is concerned everythings sorted out? If not, I might be able to give some guidance, PM me if interested. I work with WSIB, LTD and other disability programs everyday. Phil
  12. I was bet one year at trout opener that I wouldn't eat a handfull of Salmon singles. I did, got a case a beer and a life time gag reflex everytime I get a good wiff of a popped single. Awesome, since I am steelheader. Carp scales are great guitar picks.
  13. 20 lbs.... Pffft... whatever... I'd say 20.5 - Beauty Blur out the background please, we can see your in Ontario.
  14. Yep, seems to have gotten alot worse in a certain area (canals) as of recent. Total right off now and sad to say for good.. I here ya Gbfisher, atleast when we were there with the other 2 boats for the last couple weeks in this one spot 98% of fish were released. Now, I am sad to say it is not the case. The power of a lil post on the internet.
  15. There was 7 boats in a "3 boat area max" certain spot on Scugog yesterday.
  16. I think your right about the species! Ps. since you've been on this board, how many places have you lived? I remember a few tarpon posts from you in the BVI if I remember right! Love those ones!
  17. Growing up and becoming a family man. It's simply my little girls, can't help but want to spent as much time as I can with them, even if it's just watching Max and Ruby or catching crappie. Can't wait til they get aliitle older though to really show them the angling ropes!
  18. Awesome Fang, I met Roland once, what a personality! Whoaaaaa Son... check out my Frogg Toggs
  19. I think the perfect spot for me personally is Coburg/Port Hope area. Lake O, at your door step. Bay of Quinte (one of the best fisheries in Ontario) under an hour, Kawarthas within 30 mins and serious steelhead waters within 1 min. 2nd choice, Picton on Bay of Quinte. Go left, straight, or right you can catch almost anything that swims freshwater.
  20. Classic, I think everyones first casts did!
  21. Nope, nadda, zilch, nil, zero. Self imposed pressure to create 13 epidsodes, catch some fish, smile, promote and entertain. Any help to do the above, will absolutely sometimes be taken advantage of ie. use of guides, which sometimes can be a win win.
  22. Beautiful... great job! Friday can't come fast enough!
  23. Bingo! As for the boat show, it is a great place to do research. And sometimes a good deal could be made on a boat like you are looking for becasue there are a few of them around at different dealers. Certain boats(i.e. bass boats) have somewhat limited inventory with alot less dealers representing them.
