  1. Saw the same thing Bud. Great year for the fish. Blew in and blown out. Lucky devils.
  2. SAHWHEAT! Thanks for the heads up. There's gonna be a few nights on the couch in the near future!
  3. I was going to post that I heard a large amount of fish slime on clothes can casue these issues, but then I saw who the original poster was. So, this is more an FYI for other anglers out there.
  4. Great shot Ryan. An original man he was, I love the golf glove. Actually, that may make a good trophy in his memory. The Golf Glove award/trophy at some OFC event or G2G... I dunno, just a thought.
  5. Contact a tree cutting biz in your area, sometimes they don't mind alittle help cleaning up.
  6. Man, that sounds like it hurt. I would leave my job if I could secure the same pension plan as I have today and I could be closer to home. I'd even take a paycut for a shorter commute.
  7. What a kind man. Took sometime to help me out a year or so ago with real estate issues I was having. This is really sad news, the good ones go way to early. This is how he signed off one email below, sums up what kind of man he was. "Let me know what you want to try first and I'll do what I can to help out." In my thoughts. Phil
  8. hahaha, smart arse, two is all I need to bring when I am fishing with someone who can take care of all the other non flippin jig rod stuff! hahah.. Cheers BUD! PS.. where's my coat? We have to get together now for a fish!
  9. Great guidance so far. Here's my deal after a few years honing it. 1. 7ft Heavy Baitcast - strictly pitching and dunking heavy junk. 2. 8ft Heavy Baitcast - frog(or other plastic topwaters) heavy think junk 3. 7'6 M/H Baitcast - Flipping and/or skipping plastics. 4. 6'6 M/H spin- tube, senko 5. 6'6 Med/Heavy Spin more on the heavy side- jerkabait(may want to go lighter, heavy is just my personal preference. 6. 7 ft M/H spin - topwaters 7. 6ft HEAVY (poolcue) - use for 2oz jigs busting think mats. 8. 6'3 light spin, incase the Misses wants to dropshot. Get a couple of each (bait and spin) until you dail in what style you like to fish... this could take a while. Above it my Bass deal, but use most the same spinning for walleye. The Heavy spin I use for rip jigging as well as jerks for eyes. Good Luck
  10. Your stang is 44 years newer then mine. I'll get'er fixed up one day. Always had the outlook that a true Stang had to be a V8. Curious to see how the V6 runs though(is it aleast dual exhaust?)
  11. Well sir, have any of those kicking around? Great Idea.
  12. Awesome, looks like I can run from Keswick almost to my favourite area, maybe it'll be free by the weekend.... I coming for you Mumbo Jumbos...
  13. Sorry to hear Dan. I recently lost my Dad, feel free to PM me or fire me an email. I know what you are going through and I'm available anytime for a chat. Chin Up, Phil
  14. 3.5 - 4inch tubes are the standard for Smallies. However I do use 5 inch for smallies too in the thick stuff or stained water. Trouble is finding a tube hook for open rigging that will allow you to fish the 5inch properly. I mostly texpose rig the 5inch with a 4/0 or 5/0 wide gap. 4inch tubes can be used for Largies, but I feel more in a fineese or clear water situation. Guys would pound the docks or pads with bigger baits and we would follow with a smaller tube and sometimes get them to go. To answer your question, sure big fish will eat a 4inch tube, but so will dinks, moreso then a bigger profile bait. Cheers.
  15. Great advice on the lawn so far. I'd topsoil and seed. If budget allowed however, I'd get it scraped by a skid steer and re sod. Easiest and quickest. This is what we do when we destroy lawns doing stone work.
  16. I heard the original police complaint was about a constant green glow illuminating from his house.
  17. I second this! If you are fishing smaller lakes, i.e. kawarthas and maybe big water once in a blue moon like Simcoe or Lake O, then maybe look at a 18fter with a 150. You can find a half decent boat like this for a fairly good price. Do not get caught up in the speed deal, be practical. A smaller boat is easier to fish the Junk anyways. Good Luck
  18. Thanks for the shout out Roy! It's one of my fav toons. Great read TJ!
  19. I switched the sugar with salt this morning, she hasn't called to yell at me yet...oh wait, scratch that..
  20. This is bull poop... next time you go out to a bar or club, check out the tan lines on some of the ladies ring fingers! And if you can't see any lines, they used bronzer. Women are just as bad...
  21. Whoa, I wouldn't be here if I used my lab as a guide!
  22. Sounds like you have things sorted out. A very saavy financial guy broke things down for my young family and recommended we not invest in anything else until all debts are paid(mortgage etc) becasue I have a solid pension plan. Except for RESPs. And I second the boat deal. If you can swing one now, DO IT. Seriously, bindheredunit.
  23. Nice catch Spiel, I thought he was talking about the UPS parade. Awesome Mike, as per usual. Got one brown on a east tib last week, pleasent suprise.
