GB, I can sit my lazy ass on the couch and enjoy the explosions on a 42" T.V. when I play, instead of being hunched over a keyboard and 19" monitor. Also, I never have to worry about upgrading my graphics card, or RAM to play the latest game. Don't even get me started on installation times, driver searces, and updates/patches I used to play Counterstrike tons on the PC, but it is much more enjoyable playing games on the surround sound set-up. Booo! NHL 07, you should have bought NHL 2K7, it's a better hockey sim than NHL 07, plus you get Harry Neale as a commentator Those darn yanks can't call a hockey game for the life of them. Tony

Please, please do not endorse or promote Berkley Vanish as a good alternative to other quality fluorocarbon lines (Seaguar, Maxima, PLine). You WILL lose fish and be generally dissapointed with this product. Not bashing Berkley in general as they have many great products, Berkly Vanish however, is not one of them. Cheers, Tony

Sounds like someone forgot to complete a realistic business plan... It is a blow to the competitive fishing scene in Canada, but ask anyone in the industry...there is not the level of support that there is in the U.S. here, and resulting from that is a lack of available funds by Canadian companies for financing things like the CRK CFT series. $50 deposit on tires, $100 on matresses, $20 for wicker chairs...Remember my genious theory? I gaurantee you that you would have more people out searching for junk on their free time to bring in for the deposit refund ca$h, oh wait! people wouldn't ditch their junk in the first place, that'd be equivalent to burning money The sad part is that money is the driving force. Our culture places more importance on cash than a clean environment...until...? Tony

Check out CBC tomorrow there is a special on Vimy at 9:30am. I watched a bit of some other coverage last night, I think it is great that they have the biggest high-school field trip ever in history travelling to France to honour the soldiers from the Great War. Each student was assigned a soldier to research and write a summary of their interpretation of the life of that soldier. Then they placed each students work into a time capsule to be buried at the Vimy memorial site. http://www.cbc.ca/news/background/vimy/ Tony

Absolutely not, you can't use gamefish for bait, including Yellow perch. (Except in Lake Ontario I think you can use Yellow Perch for bait, not 100% sure) It doesn't mean the fish follow the rules...I've seen Pike strike at sunfish/perch/walleye/other pike/bass while they are being reeled in. Similarly, I have seen a walleye strike a bass while it was being reeled in. Tony

Maxima Ultragreen is good for my float reel, although I am going to try the Chameleon this year. Trilene XL for light spinning reel line P-Line is also a good choice. Some of the new hybrid lines look interesting, but are a couple of bucks more than the regular mono. Not sure if they are worth it yet... Tony

Anyone remember Gary Goodridge? he was a beast I think he was from Barrie but he kinda slipped out of the spotlight. Tony

That is the exact statement the folks at Fleming state for those interested in the Natural Resources Law Enforcement program Seriously, you better know someone, because there are a lot of people vying for very few jobs in that field (And the pay isn't very good to boot) Just ask yourself what you are comfortable making for a living and where you are willing to work/live, and if it realistically aligns with the career you are about to pursue. St Pierre all the way!! Canadian eh! Tony

Best bet would be to go fishing like you have every other year, abide by the regs, and enjoy yourself until next year.

I see your point KTFO, although it sounds like a liability nightmare, maybe have permission slips or something? Everyone says take a kid fishing, but it's not like you can just go invite someone else's kids to go fishing with you in this day and age It's too bad most parents live in such fear for their children, that they have to miss out on stuff and keep their kids locked up inside glued to television screens. (I can almost understand their reasoning with all the sickos out there) Tony
