  1. Run...fast 100% scam! http://www.radioworld.ca would be another online option, and you save the tax too! If you have a U.S. bank account topped up from when the U.S. dollar was @ par, then check out http://www.cabelas.com
  2. Stores motto is: 'Ripoff, but convenient'
  3. Next time call 1-877-TIPS-MNR (847-7667) and tell them they are shooting the trout with a big gun and there are children nearby that are crying because of it. Maybe, just maybe a C.O. will show up then Nothing we can do here now... The thing to remember is the infractions you see, are merely a tiny percentage of what goes on across the province...most poachers don't like an audience.
  4. Way to go! avoiding the skunk is harder and harder in those waters.
  5. Just to clarify, you are talking about Lucky CRAFT not Lucky STRIKE right? Customer service these days is pure crap generally, here are some helpful tips to get what you want. http://www.cbc.ca/consumers/market/files/s...es/complaining/
  6. ...and then all that polluted water goes where? Everything in our environment is connected, think about it.
  7. Uh oh, the Niagara is gonna get fished out
  8. I wish they had that here in ON! Or at least the option to buy more than 3 years in advance. Oh wait, but then they couldn't jack the prices at any moments notice
  9. mmm Steak...I just had one last night, there is no avoiding contaminants today, just a part of life. Long live Cancer! http://www.cbc.ca/consumers/market/files/food/beef/
  10. The Bio's recommendation is more likely related to bio-accumulation of toxins that are present in the Great Lakes, and all bodies of water really, including the ocean. Refer to your guide to safe eating if you're really worried. Then again, when was the last time you checked your guide to safe eating for poultry, chicken, beef, farm raised fish, etc....(is there even one? or better to not know?) Wild meats are not 'enhanced' like all the other meats are, just remember that.
  11. Hehe you guys are blowing things way out of proportion, that's a common viral infection called Lymphocystis. Those growths have nothing to do with 'pollution' and are quite common in several species of fish and further are perfectly safe to eat (if you can get past the looks of it) Here is a detailed explanation in PDF format for those interested. http://srd.alberta.ca/fishwildlife/livingw...tumors_fish.pdf Tony
  12. And the line holds up to several uni-knots tying segments together
  13. Impressive pair from Simcoe! only 12 more days to chase 'em this year!
  14. Excellent fishing gents! Some real solid fish in the mix, and nice to get some eater size too! Did the perch make it to the table, it was a fatty! Nothing better than sharing trips like you guys do, it just doesn't make sense to tow over long distances when you can use each others boats in each location. So any time you want to fish down this way Wayne, your're welcome to join me, but then you'll have to prove to me that there are fish in Temagami! LOL Gotta love Quinte!
  15. I have actually gone into the Church to get permission to park there in the past. I doubt most would though... When I saw someones post recommending people to park there at the Church I figured it wouldn't be long before the priviledge was abused and another access point revoked from well intentioned folks.
  16. Obviously not Bronte!...there is more than 6 inches of water and an actual fish! That's what I mean, I live right on the doorstep of Bronte but don't spend my limited time fishing there as the #'s of fish just aren't there like other places. I am willing to spend 4 hours on the road in a day, even if I only get to fish for 4 hours, as the #'s of fish in those distant areas makes it worth the drive
  17. Interesting indeed...any idea what a bail of cotton sells for? I would think that machinery costs a pretty penny!
  18. He's not too far off Billy...I live 10 minutes from the creek and regularly drive 2 hours each way to get into these...(well into the double-digits!) Tony
  19. The problem is that if you enjoy fishing for multiple species, each has it's own specific set of gear required for the most part, that's when it gets exponentially costly. I envy single species guys. Carp, Salmon, Trout, Bass, Muskie, Walleye, Barracuda, Panfish, Ice fishing, Boat fishing, creek fishing hahaha it all adds up!
  20. Sadly, I will be fishing Lake Nipissing and will miss this fine event. Maureen, I will try my best to get something to contribute. Tony
  21. Nice looking fish indeed! Gotta love the NY! How do you find the folding net for ease of transport when on the stream? Does it fit into the back pocket of your vest? I'd like to get something like that.
  22. Some nice fish there indeed! I'm not sure I would classify that pair as 'pretty good guys' though haha! River looks like it is in great condition! Tony
  23. Great fish! I think that is the calmest I have ever seen the BOQ...what a treat that must have been!
  24. I would say they are in...probably have been since September/October up in your neck of the woods...
  25. Power failure is better than server hardware failure...
