The Bio's recommendation is more likely related to bio-accumulation of toxins that are present in the Great Lakes, and all bodies of water really, including the ocean. Refer to your guide to safe eating if you're really worried. Then again, when was the last time you checked your guide to safe eating for poultry, chicken, beef, farm raised fish, etc....(is there even one? or better to not know?) Wild meats are not 'enhanced' like all the other meats are, just remember that.

Excellent fishing gents! Some real solid fish in the mix, and nice to get some eater size too! Did the perch make it to the table, it was a fatty! Nothing better than sharing trips like you guys do, it just doesn't make sense to tow over long distances when you can use each others boats in each location. So any time you want to fish down this way Wayne, your're welcome to join me, but then you'll have to prove to me that there are fish in Temagami! LOL Gotta love Quinte!

I have actually gone into the Church to get permission to park there in the past. I doubt most would though... When I saw someones post recommending people to park there at the Church I figured it wouldn't be long before the priviledge was abused and another access point revoked from well intentioned folks.

Obviously not Bronte!...there is more than 6 inches of water and an actual fish! That's what I mean, I live right on the doorstep of Bronte but don't spend my limited time fishing there as the #'s of fish just aren't there like other places. I am willing to spend 4 hours on the road in a day, even if I only get to fish for 4 hours, as the #'s of fish in those distant areas makes it worth the drive

The problem is that if you enjoy fishing for multiple species, each has it's own specific set of gear required for the most part, that's when it gets exponentially costly. I envy single species guys. Carp, Salmon, Trout, Bass, Muskie, Walleye, Barracuda, Panfish, Ice fishing, Boat fishing, creek fishing hahaha it all adds up!

Sadly, I will be fishing Lake Nipissing and will miss this fine event. Maureen, I will try my best to get something to contribute. Tony
