Happy Birthday Rocket!!! Nice Rack!!!! You're one Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad dude I could go on, but I won't Joey
-
Yes Don, it was the Queenston ramp. Its a pretty good ramp, its the parking that's the pits when there's alot of people there. Quite a long walk if you have to park back up the hill. Wayne, bullseye for sure!!! LOL Joey

We just stuck to the river Don. With the unpredictable weather we don't like to go out into the lake in our boat. Its only 16.5 ft and if the winds pick up its not fun. Some guys that had gone out to the lake on Saturday said it was too rough and came back. Joey

Thanks all. It was so nice to be on the open water that's for sure. Clampet, that's not a cell phone, its a long zippo pipe lighter Joey

Awesome report Scott. I'm just reading all the reports I missed over the weekend. Looks like they were on for you. Nice to see the little guys growing up too Joey

I set the hook thinking another big one!! What I saw was my float and this small steelie flying towards my head....LOL...it almost smacked me in the face. Hahahahaha, that's priceless Cliff. Good job you two!! Great report. Joey
-
The "Steelies" were very aggressive last night!!!

Ahahahahahahaha, that's hilarious Cliff. You're lucky you didn't catch it. Trust me, you don't want to catch a beaver. Joey -
Don, why don't you try the Niagara Bar for Lakers. Its pretty quick to get to and your best bet is spoons or 3 way swivel with either tube jigs or live bait. Cheer, Joey

Great report Mike. Thanks for the laughs. Certainly was an expensive fishing trip eh! Joey

Paul and I decided to get a way for the weekend so we headed down to the lower Niagara for a fish. After checking into our hotel and unpacking, Paul realized he had forgotten the removable seat for the front casting deck and had to sit on a bucket to use the trolling motor all weekend. He's got a bad case of ring around the you know what now, and I bet he won't make that mistake again The temp was 6 and getting warmer and the wind was from the east. Nobody was catching anything. We saw the WFN boat while we waited for the bite to turn on. I played with my zoom lense. Then the weather changed and the wind started coming out of the West. The bite was on. We saw about 5 or 6 fish landed and Paul got into this nice 26 inch hen (and an entry for his team - Taper you have a PM). Then as quick as the bite came on, it turned off again. We fished until 5 p.m. then headed back to the launch. While putting the boat on the trailer, a shore fisherman got into a nice steelie. That was the second one caught on shore for the day. We went out for a nice steak dinner at the Old Fire Hall and then back to the hotel for a good night's sleep ready for Sunday's fishing. It was 10 degrees Sunday morning and it called for thunderstorms, but it was just overcast so we headed to the launch. Aaron was launching when we got there and we had a quick chat and then headed out. We weren't out long and it started to rain. We were fine with that, but then the thunder started so we headed in. I fished from shore for a bit until it really started coming down. We thought we'd wait it out in the hotel room and Paul was anxiously sitting outside waiting for the rain to stop. But it didn't stop and at some points was a torrential downpour. Check out was 11 a.m. so we packed it up and headed home. It was sure nice to get out in the boat and it was a nice relaxing time. Really good weekend away from the city. We'll probably be back there next weekend. Hope the weather cooperates. Here's a shot of the escarpment and one of an ice flow, one of many we had to watch out for while out there. Cheers, Joey

Gerritt, you have a PM. Joey
-
Gerritt, Line the bottom rack with tinfoil to catch the drippings. Lay the meat strips directly on the other rack in the middle of the oven. Set on lowest setting and let dry for around 8 hours. Check periodically to take out ones that are thinner or that dry faster. I woudn't recommend squeezing the juice out of them first as they would lose flavor and be too dry in my opinion. Good luck Joey

Here's a cat fishing Joey
-
Wow, give that dog a bone Cool story Cliff. I had to give my cat the heimlich maneuver once. He was choking on a hard treat. It worked, popped right out and he could breath again. Joey

Yes Joe, you are right, one of the babies fell through the slats in the solarium roof and I had to built a staircase out of the beer cases and put it back remember It was so cute, but terrified and cried for two days until I did that, then it shut up!! Joey
-
Actually Roy, he told me he kills the ones at his place and suggested I do the same. I just couldn't bring myself to do that, besides the fact that its illegal (although the thought did cross my mind a time or two). Guess I just don't have it in me. But they are well fed. The neighbours beside us have an illegal chicken coop that the racoons go and steal feed from every night. Ain't livin in the city grand Joey

Already did that Clampet, about 10 times. More just keep coming Yep, maybe a nice coon hat before we leave Joey
