Enjoying some down time Funny thing, I bought these fake fish tatoo stick on's in the city and put them on my ankle one day, then at the end of the day I had white fish spots on my legs where I had tanned around them I got some amazing scenery and wildlife shots. I chased this woodpecker all over camp trying to get the perfect shot This beetle was very large and flew, ewwwwww The pinchers of a wood beetle Every day threatened a storm, but it just seemed to miss us, until Thursday. We stayed out this time because everytime we came back worried about a storm, nothing happened. This one, however, did happen, and it was a doozie. Man did it rain. It came down in buckets and hailed as well. Lots of lightening and thunder. We hid in our gazebo. We kept 4 pike out of all the ones we caught and I cleaned them and they are sitting in the freezer at Kevin and Leslie's So that was our week and Lakair and I want to thank Kevin and Leslie for being great hosts once again and Zach for attending to us all week, you were fantastic. Thanks everyone for making this holiday a memorable one. Cheers, Joey & Tybo

Well all I can say is this is one of the most enjoyable holidays I have ever had. The weather was nice, the fishing was great and the company was delightful. We arrived around 10 p.m. Friday night and everyone gathered to help us set up camp amongst the nasty swarming mosquitoes. But the joint effort got things done pretty quick. We had a great Friday night get together around the campfire, which GCD laboured over all night keeping us warm. Great job G Saturday was the pike tournament and everyone got ready and headed out and we all know the outcome. Congrats to Rick O'Banion for kicking some pike butt and to Muskystudd for catching the biggest fish (and he's on Team 2 woohoo ) The awards ceremony and fish fry were great and we all ate to satisfaction. Thanks TJ for the superb filetting job on those fish. And thanks to Bite Me (Peter) for making that fantastic venison stew. We'll have to do that joint effort again next year. I don't know what kind of bet Peter lost, but his hat is just darling don't you think? Saturday night we gathered around the campfire once again and CCMT (Cliff) gave us a nice little guitar playing jam session. DouG also had some great harmonica happening too. It was really fun. Here's Art giving direction to someone Yet Again..... Alot of people left on Sunday and then by Monday Paul and I were alone. We got ALOT of fishing in and caught over 45 pike (fishing for musky of course ) and a few other assorted fish. All ready to go.... Here's Paul with his entry for the smallest "World's Greatest Sport Fish." Me with my new musky net - Too bad we didn't get to use it... Digger hung around out camp most days. He's such a great dog. One day we heard a big boat having trouble and stopped by to see what the problem was and if they needed any help. They figured they got water in the engine and couldn't get it going again so we gave them a tow back to Samoset, where they were staying. That was fun towing that boat behind ours all the way back. The weather was unbearably hot the first three days and I ended up getting sun/heat stroke. Felt pretty crappy for two days after that. But I guess that's what you get for slathering yourself with dark tanning oil and wearing a bathing suit in the sun all day for three days for the sake of a tan. Paul says I should just slather butter over myself next time if I want to cook that bad Paul trying to keep cool with his portable fan that he McGyvered To be Con't (too big for one thread.............)

Ya, clearing up here, that was some pretty cool lightening. It hovered over the office for about half an hour, lightening and thunder together, fork lightening right across the street. It was awesome. Joey

A police officer pulls over a speeding car. The officer says, " I clocked you at 100 km per hour, sir." The driver says, "Gee, Officer I had it on cruise control at 60, perhaps your radar gun needs calibrating." Not looking up from her knitting the wife says: "Now don't be silly dear, you know that this car doesn't have cruise control." As the officer writes out the ticket, the driver looks over at his wife and growls, "Can't you please keep your mouth shut for once?" The wife smiles demurely and says, "You should be thankful your radar detector went off when it did." As the officer makes out the second ticket for the illegal radar detector unit, the man glowers at his wife and says through clenched teeth, "Damit, woman, can't you keep your mouth shut?" The officer frowns and says, "And I notice that you're not wearing your seat belt, sir. That's an automatic $135 fine." The driver says, "Yeah, well, you see officer, I had it on, but took it off when you pulled me over so that I could get my license out of my back pocket." The wife says, "Now, dear, you know very well that you didn't have your seat belt on. You never wear your seat belt when you're driving." And as the police officer is writing out the third ticket the driver turns to his wife and barks, "WHY DON'T YOU PLEASE SHUT UP??" The officer looks over at the woman and asks, "Does your husband always talk to you this way, Madam?" (Wait for it.... ) "Only when he's been drinking."

Well it might be a good idea Steve, but I'll try to be a little more careful this time. Maybe I'll dig out the boga grippers this time Joey

Cliff, from Richmond Hill we make it in about 3 1/2 to 4 hours, depending on traffic. Joey

I'll make sure to keep an eye out in our area. My aunt owns a trucking company and has had many a truck and trailer go missing over the years. They usually find them a day or two later, empty of course (sorry). But at least you'll get the trailer back. Joey
