  5. Well as I mentioned in my Lakair report, I cleaned and put 4 pike in Kevin and Leslie's freezer, then promptly forgot them when we left. I emailed Kevin and told him my plight. Well he got ahold of a friend of his who has a cottage near there and lives in Thornhill. His friend brought down the pike and I went and picked it up on Tuesday. We had it tonight for dinner and it was delicious. So thank you Kevin, you da bomb! Joey

  10. That's awesome B. I never had the coordination to master the skateboard, but Paul tells me about him and his buds looking for empty pools when they were young so they could do they're thing. Please do let us know when he is on TV. I'll be sure to watch. Joey
  11. Well Paul's had an unfortunate yet funny incident happen to it. We didn't have a fish scale at the cottage, but had a human weight scale. So Paul stood on the scale, weighed himself, and then stood on the scale with the fish, and it was 11 lbs more. So we put it in a cooler full of water, drove to his parents house (his dad wasn't home at the time) to see if his nephew, who lived there and is also an avid fisherman, had a fish scale. He did not but said he had a legal scale at work and would take it there. We also did the human scale trick there too and again, 11 lbs. We were psyched. Ontario record here we come. So the next day I called his parents house to find out about the weight of the fish and Paul's father answered. He had just gotten back from a trip to Poland. I said "Did you see the fish" and he said "Yes, it was very, very big, but it tasted terrible." I said "What, you ate it" and he replied, "I thought you brought it for me to eat, like you always bring me fish, but it tasted like mud." Well its no wonder it tasted like mud So, that is what happend to Paul's Ontario record Bass and he has not caught one that big again (not for lack of trying). Joey
  12. Sweet report Emil. That sure is an interesting fish there. Not sure what it is. Now if you needed help steering the boat while reeling in and taking pictures, why didn't ya just ask me to come with you? I could have called in sick easily Joey
  13. Well Paul caught one close to, if not 11 lbs, in a small, very low pressured lake, and I seen it with me own eyes. So they are out there, eating all those rock bass and layin low Joey
  14. Well you're finally all growed up now I know its hard to change loyalties, believe me, I've had to come to the ghastly conclusion lately that Jeff Gordon actually does know how to drive. But to hear you say you are starting to like "that smoke guy" just put a huge smile on my face B Gentlemen, start your engines....
  15. No problem Tony, I hear ya. I think they outlawed that "gift card expiry" thing. You should look into that. Joey

  17. This Bud's Not for Junior Pete Pistone Managing Editor Posted Friday, July 13, 2007 Dale Earnhardt Jr. won't drive the Budweiser car in 2008. Blog: Dale Jr's Sponsor? JOLIET, Ill. - Junior Nation will have to find a new beverage of choice in 2008. Longtime sponsor Budweiser will not follow Dale Earnhardt, Jr. to Hendrick Motorsports when he joins the team in 2008. "We have agreements in place with sponsors for the 2008 NASCAR Sprint Cup season, which prevent us from having a relationship with Budweiser," said team owner Rick Hendrick. "Honoring our commitments is important to us. The trade-off is missing an opportunity to bring Budweiser, a marquee brand synonymous with NASCAR and its fans, into the fold." While negotiations continue at the Hendrick camp continue to fins a sponsor for Earnhardt, Jr., the relationship between Budweiser and Junior is officially over. "Budweiser has sponsored Dale Jr. for nearly a decade, and we wish him the very best," said Tony Ponturo, vice president of global media and sports marketing for Anheuser-Busch Inc. "Budweiser will remain an active sponsor of NASCAR, and we look forward to building upon the legacy of the iconic Budweiser red car in 2008 and beyond." Several teams and drivers have been rumored to be in the running for the Anhesuer-Busch backing next year including Kyle Busch, who is still looking for a home in 2008 but who is reportedly on the company's short list of candidates. Whoever flies the Bud colors next year will be the first Cup driver to do so since Earnhardt, Jr.'s rookie season in 2000. "To climb into that red Budweiser car each weekend has always been a privilege," Earnhardt Jr. said. "Although Budweiser and I will be unable to continue our partnership beyond this season, I remain committed to driving for Bud the rest of this year, and will continue to make it my beer of choice. I'm a race car driver. All I can do is drive as hard as I can for my fans and sponsorship partners, and give my best effort each weekend." Budweiser first sponsored a team on the NASCAR Winston Cup Series circuit in 1983, and in 1998, Budweiser became the "Official Beer of NASCAR," cementing the brand's place among stock car racing's elite sponsors. Budweiser is also the sponsor of the Bud Pole Award in all NASCAR divisions, the title sponsor of the annual Budweiser Shootout at Daytona, the exclusive beer and malt beverage advertiser of the Daytona 500, and the "Official Beer Sponsor" of Daytona International Speedway, the Daytona 500 and the Pepsi 400. Throughout its history in NASCAR, the iconic Budweiser car has been driven by Terry Labonte, Darrell Waltrip, Bill Elliott, Ken Schrader, Ricky Craven, Wally Dallenbach and Dale Earnhardt Jr.
