  2. What are you doin with those two old oars...... Used to love listening to him on the radio, thanks for the laugh
  3. That's fantastic Steve, good for you. I also run now and can go much further and faster than when I started aswell. I ended up losing 28 lbs so far. I don't want to lose anymore so I'll just stick where I am and keep my fitness level up for health purposes. Glad to hear all the kids are okay. Don't know why you can't start the young one on chicken wings yet, aren't they a staple in your house Joey
  4. We had this exact same issue Cliff. I bought that remote from LeBaron but they could not find the box or instructions for it. I ended up calling Motorguide and he told me this. He said to unplug the trolling motor, but not just unplug, actually take away all power, ie: disconnect from the battery. Then connect back to the battery, plug back in the trolling motor and you have a 10 second window. Count to 3, then push the + and - together at the same time. He said it would do the long beep, but it did not, but it worked after that anyhow. I think the ticket was the disconnection from the battery that finally got it to work. Good luck, hope it works for you. Joey
  5. Well I've enjoyed the old photo's other's have posted on here, so after picking out some of the old ones I'm going to take to my dad's funeral, I thought I'd post a few here. Here's a couple that I thought were pretty cool. Dad with a bass and an old boat. It says 1959 (before my time ) Another 1959 one, dad on the dock with a beer Must have been the same roll of film, Aug 1959. This was later than 59, probably when I was about 3 maybe, so probably 1967, by the rapids in Minden (Daddy's little girl). Hope you enjoy them. Joey
  6. Wow, that rail system is freaking awesome. Great job. Nice report and pics. Hope they don't find your boat, let us know in the spring okay! Joey
  7. My favorite area to fish was the Bow River just outside of Canmore on the East side. If you want specifics on how to get there if you really want to, shoot me a PM. Joey
  8. Now that's funny, thanks for the laugh. I'll have to try that. Wonder if leftover thankgiving turkey is the ticket
  9. Thanks again everyone. Today is one more day further from the sad day he passed. But its one day closer to the funeral. Here are the details for anyone who asked: Trinity Anglican Church 79 Victoria Street Aurora, ONtario L4G 1R3 (905) 727-6101 Date: Monday, October 5, 2009 Service: 11:00 a.m. Reception downstairs at 12 noon Just working on the obituary now and it will be in the Star and the Globe tomorrow or the next day. I'm overwhelmed by the responses and really do appreciate everyone's warm thoughts and prayers. Joey

  12. Thank you again everyone. These words and condolances are very comforting right now. I got a bit of sleep and now have the task of making arrangements. Thanks also for the PM's I've received, I really appreciate all the kind and encouraging words. Thank you, Joey
  13. I want to thank all who responded, your words and thoughts and prayers are making it easier to cope. I think I'll try to get some sleep now as I was at emerg and ICU all night and day. Hope I can catch a few hours. Thanks again, Joey
  14. Goodbye Dad, I'll miss you. Dad had a massive heart attack last night and left this world about 2:30 this afternoon. I'm sure glad I got to take him out fishing one last time. In the grand scheme of things, I suppose a heart attack is better than a slow painful cancer battle, which is what we were prepared for. It doesn't make it any easier though. Love you dad. Joey
  15. Got mine about 3 days after I took the test. Paul is coming on two weeks now without his. Joey
  16. Great report Rich, looks like you and Patsy had a great time. Sorry to hear the muskies were not too cooperative for you. I've been awaiting this report to see if the "lures" brought any fish to you. If its any consolation, Paul has only had follows this year aswell. Joey
