  19. Lucky me got a new camera lens from Paul for our anniversary. So I headed out to a field by my house last night in search of some big birds. Was hoping for some hawks, but nothing came by, so my next best choice was the Mill Pond. Wanted to see how it worked and how far I could take a picture with it still being in focus. I tried auto and manual, both worked very well. That lens is dang heavy tho (3 lbs) so note to self - take the tripod next time (I was trying to carry light ) Anyhow, here is the outcome. I'm fairly pleased with most, but am anticipating my DSLR class on October 6th On an end note, The geese were having a ball, rolling around, splashing each other, diving and jumping out of the water. It was a hoot to watch. I tried to get some of the action shots. They turned out okay but they're just for fun. Enjoy!!
