  1. I have the same boat but a '01 I don't have one bad thing to say about it. Great riding and handling (no feedback steering) . Mine has a nice big livewell, baitwell, lots of good laid out storage. What you might do about your motor issue is what a buddy had to do with Lund. He wanted to put larger motor on his tyee was he got them too send him a letter that their enginer / service rep. Ok'd the larger motor
  2. Wait and see if he fish's off HIS dock and if you see him fishing off HIS dock call the MNR and tell them there is someone fishing in a posted sanctuary. Rob
  3. After I slide my dropshot weight on I tie a small clear bead on the tag end my line to prevent the weight from slipping off. I started doing this last year and have found that it works well for me. Rob
  4. Lake Erie for me. Been fishing the Buffalo area for a month now had some killer days can't wait to fish our side. I actually took a weeks vacation for the opener I'm off from June 22nd - July 4th. Rob
  5. I've been going over to the US and buying my gas for the last 2 weeks. I haven't paid more than .90 cents/ltr $3.40/ gallon. Rob
  6. Thanks Bob I was originally going to get 2 HDS5s but then we got hit with a 10%+ wage reduction at work. So now I'm looking at the Elite5 Gold which comes with the Gold card unlike the HDS5.I would like the linking together but I need 2 new units this year mine are getting really old. Rob
  7. Thanks for the replies guys I appreciate it Rob
  8. I need to upgrade my electronics this year(bow & dash) and was looking at the Lowrance Elite5 Gold Gps/Sonar. These are the units that come preloaded with the Navionics Gold cards(not the DSI units). Anyone using these units? I would like to hear any comments good or bad. I'm looking to get the best views of the bottom looking for hard/soft transition areas and fish tight too bottom. Also for suspended bait/fish. I welcome all comments pro or con. Thanks Rob
  9. Stick with the Supreme it's a much better reel than the President(not that there's anything wrong with the Pres.)The Supreme is lighter, better drag, and a higher retrieve ratio(6:3/1). Rob
  10. I have 4 of the Supremes,1 Arbour,1 older President, and 1 older Solara. Never had an issue with any of them.Good solid reels and you can not beat the price. Get 1 and you'll probably get more. Rob
  11. Irish I double checked the patent # and that's what written #261546. Irish if you do happen too mold and make some let me know I'll take a couple of pairs. Rob
  12. Hey Jim these are the same as you had I believe. They are a great pair of spreaders for small too medium sized Pike/Muskies. Closed Half way opened Fully opened Jim the only thing I can tell you about these spreaders is what's written on the side.It says "The Grabber a Fishing Tool" and a " U.S. Patent NO. 261546 ". There is nothing else written on them. Jim I've had these for 10-15 years so I do not remember where I purchased them. I lost mine for a couple of days while shore fishing for Pike a few years back and I was bummed out, so I know how you feel.Luckly I found them. As for replacing them all I can say is goodluck I have been searching for years to buy a couple of backup pairs. If you do find some let me know I would like a couple more pairs. Goodluck in your search Rob
  13. I have had the poster hanging in my livingroom for years I thinks its a great ad

  17. check out the Diawa Super tuned Advantage Lebarons has them for around $150 you will not be disappointed.
  18. Oh I forgot mention that another thing too watch out for is the wakes from the jet boats they pretty damn big 2' atleast and if your not watching could toss you out.
  19. No problem fishing the lower with that rig I spent many years fishing there all winter in a 14' with a 7.5 Ted Williams Sears on it.Just watch out for the current in the middle of the river right in front of the Queenston drift, there are some wicked whirlpools out there. They can be a little unsettling until you get used to them, but anywhere down stream from the Queenston launch you'll be fine.
  20. Dan I picked up a Shimano Compre TC4 series crank bait rod specifically for lipless cranks and I love it. The TC4 are the crankbait series made of a blend of graphite/glass.I picked up the 7' 8-17lb 1/4-3/4 oz medium power medium/fast action baitcaster. For around $125 bucks you get a great rod and your not breaking the bank.Check them out you won't be disappointed. Hope this helped Rob
  21. Don't buy the Triumph for a few bucks more go for the Mojo you will not be disappointed
  22. LD17 the camera is set in a fixed position when on the mount it always pointed directly at the motor. When I catch a fish I turn the camera on and set it too selftimer then I push the picture button half way down till the red box on the screen focus's and turns green then I push the button fully down to start the selftimer then I simply sit in front of the motor. It might not take perfect pics but I do get decent shot. Aaron I always have fun when I'm fishing but it's really fun when I can get out with my Dad and get him into a couple 4lbers(I have to pick my days carefully to fish with my Dad as he turned 83 this year a can not handle too rough a ride in the boat).I was expecting to see you and Barry state side this spring I fished over there every chance I got and didn't see you guys.Sorry too here about your guys show but I'm sure what ever you guys do seperately we'll be just as informative and entertianing. Good luck to both of you on your future endeavours. Rob
  23. Fish the opener and the next 2 days did okay not as great as last year, water was too warm to hold the fish shallow. Managaed too land 18 Smallies on Saturday. Started out in the lake only got 3 in 2 hours ended up going back into the river and got 15. All fish were caught on hard baits in less than 12' of water.Heres a couple of pics. Fished Sunday with my dad we ended up landing 16 Smallies fished the lake and the mouth of the river. Heres a couple of pics of my pops with some nice 4 lbers caught on tubes. Fished the Navy Island area Monday ended up with 12 landed heres a few pics. All the pics of me were taken fishing solo with the selftimer on my camera on my custom made camera mount heres a pic of the mount Thanks for reading Rob
