  1. I have the 100HA its a great reel for heavy or light baits. It's the sweetest baitcaster I have ever owned definetly the longest casting reel. Super smooth drag/micro click adjustment,6.3 gear ratio and the best magnetic cast control system.I'm planning on buying another one before next spring. If you pick one up you will not be disappointed.
  2. Don't say last trip maybe I can talk you into one more upper river outing.
  3. I hate to be the bearer of bad news but I just heard from a buddy who was at Queenston this morning and he told me that there was only about one foot of visiblilty. He did not hook up or see anyone else hook up.The whole river is dirty he drove up the parkway and looked down at the power plants, the water coming down the river was the same as what was coming out of the power plants. Those damn south west winds Saturday messed it up.I have another friend who is guiding on the upper today for musky, I'll probably get an email later today from him on the results of the days fishing and a water clarity report. If I get an update on the visiblity I'll post it, but it wont be till after work tonite. Rob
  4. It was beauty day out there Dax thanks again. Can not wait until there are more fish in tight. We did have a little bit of a tough time gettin' our trolling speed down. Our fish hit doing about 2mph.Thanks again Dax had a great time.Rob
  5. I'll be there. Is this the third or forth odessey my memory is not what it used to be?
  6. Blackjack gum is still around I see it in a local store every day. I also remember laying in the back of the station wagon while traveling on the family vacations. Also remember the oil truck coming too fill up the oil tank for the winter. And how about the guy that would drive around the neighborhood real slow ringing his bell offering his services too sharpen scirrors ,knives,or whatever.(maybe that one was just a local thing).Damn I'm getting old.
  7. Heybud try Ken's scrap metal/salvage Thorold South Allanburg rd I get mine from there nice soft stuff
  8. Sorry Bud I just assumed that you were looking for trolling info because it's that time of the year. You won't find any salmon in the river at this time of the year, their all out in the lake. Come late August depending on water temps the salmon would start showing up in the river. Rob
  9. Yes Queenston is accessible, but you'll have a 7 mile run out too the lake. You would be better off launching right on the lake. Either Jordan harbour,Port D (St.Catharines Game and Fish) or Port Weller Marina(east side of the canal.Good luck Rob
  10. Hey Krawler try this site walleyecentral.com go too the classifieds lots of boats here I don't if they are in your search area but there is a good selection.Happy boat hunting Rob
  11. This nothing new for N O T L. They closed down the only public launch ramp in their town 10+ years ago why???? I don't think they liked having people coming in with their trucks and boats and fishing for the day, then leaving their tourist trap.A charter boat captain who is a good friend of mine wanted to keep his boat at the local marina for the first month of the salmon season was told flat out NO.They told him they didn't want a fishing boat with all the downriggers, planer board mast, and rods on the boat even though he has a beautiful 30 ft Baja. In my opinion the town of N O T L is full of snobs who do not want the regular hard working class of people in their quaint little over priced tourist trap.Unless of course you live there in one of the over priced homes and pay outrageous property taxes. If this goes through I think it would be blast if we could get as many anglers as possible to show up one day and invade them. Have everone show up trucks and boats intow and have a convoy cruise around their precious tourist trap. But thats just my opinion. Alumacraft formerly Rob formerly RH Rob
  12. Metal/Prog Rock Tool Most underrated A Perfect Circle
  13. Mine ended with 2 solid weeks of brown water on the Niagara.Damn high winds on Erie.I hope we get some colder temps and north winds so we can get back too some incredible steelhead fishing. Rob
  14. Hey Paulus forget about the niagara the winds around here have been wreaking havoc on lake erie. It is not going too be fishable for awhile. Maybe by the end of the week if the winds lay down, if they don't lay down then who knows. All I know is that I'm starting to twitch and shake, we should be crushing the steelies right now. Rob
  15. The river will not be fishable for quite some time.I was in Crystal beach today at the launch there was 6-8 ft waves pounding out there and brown water as far the eyes could see.I wish it would clear we were pounding the snot out of them before it went to mud.Maybe late next week,I'd like to fish the end of the muskie season.
