  1. I have a Fish Trap Yukon, It is THE BEST Lots of room for 2 and ALL the gear, You sit up high so very easy on the back!!! But if you are gonna pull by hand it is on the heavy side. unless very little snow. I would go with the Fish Trap Guide for something lighter. Rick

  8. Ben I get the Red x thing where there should be pics of pick!!!! As to the runners for the trap I put them on my Yukon but after 2 years they were almost gone So i put a pair of old downhill skis on top of the Runners # years now and still good to go. If I was doing it again I would Not use the Runners BUT Go directly with the Downhill Skis!!! Rick

  10. Thanks Guys I would need the carrying bag so another + for the 55. I am gonna call Riverside and find out about shipping costs. Ben You are exactly right on the 'All do the same thing' I have seen many Vex and Marcums in action and they both work very well. It looks like the Hummingbird will be about the same but with the added LCD Depth readout. Rick
  11. Hi ALL I have been looking at the Marcum and the Vex for about 2 years!!! But can't decide!! I know Worst than a W-man!!! Any way this new Hummingbird has really got me interested BUT should I buy the 45 or 55?? The 55 has up to a 6 color set for markings with several 3 color sets!! It also has a purple line to set for depth, Are these options good or??? Are they worth the Extra$$$ Rick

  18. To-Day at the end of the Gilford Looking south it is ice as far as you can see!!! Looking to Crates there is about 200'-300' of ice then open water. Looking to the North there is ice out past Kon Tiki's Red and Green buoy. Then all open water. Right now -13C in Gilford and no wind and light snow. If the temps stay down and no wind we could be Perch fishing by the End of Jan.

  21. I am getting bored!!! What with no ice or snow. So I am playing on the puter(with very limited skills) trying to get a pic I have in photobucket up as an avatar. I found the Controls and Avatar settings. I tried to copy and paste but no luck. Not sure if I copied the correct file or pasted to correct spot. Do I paste to Image from computer and the browse??? Any Help?? Thanx
