Here's a few pics from this morning. This is our tenants car. This is in front of the (now closed) Nestle' factory. These branches came off a huge pine tree in our back yard The sound of chainsaws could be heard in the distance this morning...had flashbacks of the ice storm in '98. Several communities north and west of us are still without power this morning.

? Rick do you equate resource infraction with child molestation and arson??? Sure sounds that way. Not going to comment on the multiple rod issue.....you guys have beaten it to death already. What appalls me is the disregard some have shown towards the LAWS of the road. I live on a curve and every single year there are at least two vehicles that end up on my front lawn. One year we had a car hit a tree in our front yard and less than a month later, one hit the telephone pole. And the only reason.....the ONLY reason....is speeding. Idiots don't know enough to slow down. I have a wife and child that use the roads on a daily basis and it pisses me off that some idiots think saving two minutes of their own time is more important than the lives of others using the same roadways. Using the same quote Rick used earlier but with a little twist, "driving is not a right, it's a privelage"!!! Hope all you speeders get the book thrown at you. Geez you'd almost think that some people put the lives of a few fish ahead of the lives of human beings.

Thanks Corey "lithotripsy" was the word I was trying to remember.

BITEME, just had a stone blasted out this summer. Definately see a urologist. A blocked kidney can can cause irreversable kidney damage if left blocked for too long. Get an x-ray done...it shows where and how big. If it's too big to pass, they will either remove it surgically or perform a lithotripsy which is a series of ultrasonic blasts that turn your stone into sand that you quickly pass. The lithotripsy only means a few hours in the hospital and requires only 2 or 3 days recovery. The surgery means 4 to 6 weeks recovery. Get it looked at soon bud, it takes long enough to get thru the health care system. I had mine diagnosed right away and it still took me a month until my scheduled lithotripsy. Good luck and get some medication for the pain in the meantime.

Hey BITEME you have my sympathies, not fun to have an attack. Just got a stone blasted out this summer. Hopefully they blast yours out rather than surgery, much less recuperation time. Good luck, man.

Hi, thought some of you may be interested in seeing this pic of the earliest full fossil of an esox type fish on record. This fossil was found in the 70's in Alberta and is called "Esox Tiemani". It was discovered in the western portion of the province in what is known as the Paskapoo Formation from the Paleocene period (approx. 60 million yrs. ago). It is small in size at only about 13" length, but if one looks closely there is even a fossil bait fish in it's belly. Picture courtesy of Dr. Mark V.H. Wilson of the University of Alberta.

Whoa, those are some chunky eyes, man........kudos.

Good on Jimmy if he wins the championship. He's a class act. I'm an psuedo Earnhardt Junior fan (throwback from being a senior fan) but wouldn't have minded seeing Mark Martin win a championship either. Too bad he's got no chance now. They're all lucky "Smoke" didn't make it to the top 10....he's been on fire lately. Already looking forward to Daytona and the start of next season.

Some real sweeeet smallies there RT, nice going.

Hi, I've been lurking on this board for a long, long time. Had some fun with some members quite a while back under the board name "The Perfect Angler"....anybody remember??? I've been fishing for over 40 years. A mult-species angler all of my life, I was hit with the muskie bug in 1989 and have been fishing for them ever since. Just started to get back to fishing some other species again last year, but still have a passion for the mighty lunge. I was the editor for Muskies Canada's bi-monthly publication, the "Release Journal" for three years from 2002 to the end of 2004. Here's a pic of my bro' with a typical Ottawa River muskie:

Congrats on a nice fish. Looks like lots of lamprey scars on the fish's back. Here's a pic of a 47" fish caught during an MCI tournament a few years back. Note the lamprey hanging off the fish near the lower rear fin.

Hughes got pummelled, it wasn't even close. St. Pierre almost knocked him out in the first round, but Hughes was saved by the bell at the end of the round. GSP then finished him off in the second with a kick to the head that dropped Hughes, and then he administered a viscious "ground and pound". WTG GSP. The Silva fight was a real snoozer. Big John McCarthy had to step in and tell them "this is a fight, let's see some action". Dana White looked pretty disgusted after the Silva/Monson fight.

Hi, I see there are some dog lovers on the board. Loved the "look-a-like" pics of Lew's dog Marvin. Here's a few pics of "Lilly" the little dog we got for our daughter Caroline this past June. She was pretty small for her first bath but looks pretty comical soaking wet. Lilly's hair just kept on growing until she looked like a dust mop. Finally after a visit to the barber...

Here's my bro' with a couple Ottawa River pike and a St. Lawrence walleye. No monsters, just some fish pics.

Here's a good one.....don't ask....

Thanks guys. Cisco, if you look closely those are the old quart bottles. Lew, I learned to fish using an old extra long bamboo pole similar to the one in the pic.
-
Hi TonyB, that's an Ottawa River "eye" my brother is holding.

Hi, I've seen a similar post in the past and thought it was cool seeing everyone's old fishing pics. Here's a few pics from the past. This is my dad on the right and my Uncle Mike with some Lake Nippissing walleye in 1960 This is my grandmother, probably on the St. Lawrence with what appears to be a small pike or muskie. The date on the back of the picture is 1949 I don't have any info on this picture, but it appears to be my Uncle Stuart. It was in with the other pics from 1949 so I'm assuming it's from that era, and probably taken in Cornwall.

Thanks to ccmtcanada (Cliff) my picture will now hopefully appear.
