  1. for most items i do keep the receipt, I lost it when we moved 3 month ago, and it being a bass pro brand, should have been just a straight exchange, I sent an unpleasent email to them this morning
  2. maybe i'll give them a call tomorrow, i have the gift card from the store credit, so i don't know what they can do
  3. heres the transcript from the online customer service [07:58:47 AM] Hi, my name is Cynthia. How may I help you? [08:00:22 AM] : Hello,I just have a question, I purchased a pair of White River Osprey waders back in August, they have since gotten a leak in 2 of the seams, is it possible to return these for an exchange> [08:01:24 AM] Cynthia: One moment please. [08:03:20 AM] Cynthia: Was the purchase in the store or online? [08:03:40 AM]Me: in store at the Vaughan, Ontario location [08:05:40 AM] Cynthia: Since White River Fly Shop is a Bass Pro brand, you may return it to the store, since it is within the 1 year warranty period. [08:07:17 AM] Me: thank you, I have either lost or thrown the receipt out, will this be an issue? [08:07:47 AM] Cynthia: If you purchased with a debit/credit card or used your Rewards, they will be able to lookup the transaction in their records. [08:09:03 AM] Me: ok, i used a $50 gift card +debit [08:09:24 AM] Cynthia: They should still be able to use that information to find the purchase. [08:09:43 AM]Me : ok, thank you for your help [08:09:53 AM] Cynthia: You're welcome. Thank you for contacting Bass Pro Shops. Have a great day!
  4. no, i told them i wanted to exchange, but the best they could do was in store credit
  5. Well, after finding out the hard way that my white river fly shop waders ha not one, but 2 seams that had come unglued, I talked to a bass pro rep, explained that I had purchased the waders in august, but had lost my receipt, he said it was not a problem, since I had used a gift card + debit to purchase, they would have the transaction on record, and that they were covered under a 1 year warranty since they are a BPS product so, off i went to BPS. Fast Forward, returned the waders to BPS, told customer service the issue, and I just wanted to exchange them for a new pair. I was then told that i could only get in store credit, and that since they were on sale within thee last 90 days, that I would only get the sale price as my credit, so now i am either waderless until they come on sale again, or out $50
  6. gopro you won't regret it
  7. haha yea, bps sure has a rep for bad customer service check thi link out http://www.thefloattubestore.com/
  8. think there was a bit of luck involved with that, the wind didn't blow the lure off trackor the rod didn't drag it down
  9. yep hex may flies just grab yourself a few of these and you're good to go http://www.grahamowengallery.com/fishing/fly-tying/realistic_hex_mayfly.html
  10. exactly, i like seeing guests or others catch a fish, for me, its a chance to learn
  11. you know, i have much better luck fishing without them, been out on a friends boat, have only landed 1 fish on itand he relies on his fish finder, my dad an g/fs dad haveno electronics on their boats, and i have caught countless fish on them, so i think i do just fine without them
  12. would love to, on the fraser river
  13. nice, i don't know wmuch bout fishing in michigan, but ust going by the map, theres a few lakes and a fairly large and by large i mean huge, river system near by which starts almost at lake erie at wolf lake and dumps into lake michigan
  14. absolutely i do, at one point i had 3 spinning rods, a fly rod and float rod/reel in the back of my truck, locked tail gate with a tonneau cover comes in handy sometimes
  15. you will need a passport, and a way of contacting customs, its best to have anytime you cross over the border, be it by water or by car. even if you don;t think they're watching you, they are
  16. definitly this, or split bellie on the river bank, take your pick
  17. i've bought a pair of white river waders from BPS last august, went out on lake huron in them last night, blew the seams in 2 spots. hoping BPS will replace them
  18. properly taken care of, a rod will last for years, my dad is still using the one he bought 35 years ago, its so worn that the finish is gone, but the rod body is in great shape and had caught more fish than you could ever count. now its a one piece rod, so that may be a factor with no feruls that will crack.
  19. dogs have a very high tolerance to salmonella, so you don't need to worry about that, i know a lot of people that do the raw food diet, and can put you in touch with a supplier if you like as well
  20. sail has em, bass pro is on backorder was talking to one of dave mercers fishing partners today, he was saying they're the same rapala lure body, just changed the lip
  21. nice griil, better food the grills have the slack in them because of 1: expansion and 2: makes them easier to remove for cleaning, mine does the same thing, hope you have a large tank or its natural gas
  22. theres a difference between built in NA and assembled in NA. gauruntee your parts were made off shore
  23. don't know if anyone is following this but this bait produces me thinks.....6 guys 5 days on lake of the woods, 185 fish on day 1 http://scatterrap.cabelasevents.com/challenge/
  24. will probably check out at sail when im ready to buy em,
  25. also, keep in mind about size, i don't how big a guy you are, but myself, im 6'4, and i don't fit in quite a few cars, since car makers have this vision of short people sitting in and driving their vehicles, even in my pontiacs, had a grand am and grand prix, i had to have the seats back so far i could look out the rear passenger window
