Noon news showed the ice breaking up and their afraid it'll plug the river and flood over the banks the way it did 35 or so years back. They've got some heavy equipment trying to break the jam up. In case anyone doesn't know, the "Float Your Fanny Down The Ganny" is done every year to mark the anniversary of the flood.

Unfortunately I wasn't able to see the lights from my place but good to know a few of you saw them.

Fella on the news said we should be able to see the Northern Lights in the north sky...naturally...just after sunset tonight. My northern view is blocked by trees but hopefully some will see it.

Never tried it either but have plenty of friends who did and it wouldn't bother me in the least if it was legalized. As for Trudeau, I'd vote for a dead carp before him.

I've had it a long time Mike and can't remember the model but it was $300 for bibs & jacket. It's light weight and great for summer but with a fleece it's fantastic in cold weather too and I always wear it when I'm running the snowblower. As for the 2 toner, it was definitely a cool fish indeed.

You'll remember this GoreTex Mike from the last time we fished together. Not only does it keep me dry & comfortable, it attracts nice fish too

A guy I used to work with always wanted to sail across the Atlantic in a small boat so he took a leave of absence, bought a 21'er and did it. Once he got to England he sold the boat and flew home. Sometimes a man's gotta do what a mans gotta do Nick & I'm sure that's exactly what your bud was doing. Now he's got it out of his system....maybe LOL

Yeah, and they've got a beak like a couple spears too LOL Best day was a couple years back when there were 3 of them hanging on a tree 30' from the window, but of course I didn't have a camera ready.

My last vehicle was a 2010 F150 with a 5.4 and it was an excellent engine with no issues, but I only had it for 2 1/2 years & 30,000 miles before I traded it in on a '13 so I can't give you anything on longevity of that particular motor but I'd think you'd be making a good choice.

Lotsa critters around my place but always a distance away so without cameras like you & Joey use it's tough to get good shots.

Taken from 150' away so a poor picture but always kool to see a Piliated Woodpecker on the tree trunk with a Partridge at the base of the tree. There was 2 woodpeckers side by side but one took off just before I clicked the camera.

Looks like we took a step backwards overnight as everything is covered in a light dusting of snow this morning, but thankfully it'll be gone again once the sun comes up....hopefully LOL

Just by asking the question I'd guess your concerned, as mentioned above invest the money and have peace of mind. Your not gonna have much fun on the water with your kids if your worried your gonna be stranded in the middle of the lake with night fast approaching.

Don't know anything about them Chris, but I'd imagine wearing a $10 rain jacket from Value Village would be like sitting in a sauna on a hot day. Good quality breathable rain wear is worth spending the $$$$ for IMHO
