As long as they'll cut through the heaviest hooks your gonna use they'll be just fine.

Forgot to mention Dan, but a friend of mine is also into old cars and rebuilt a 50 Chevy basically the same as yours including the color. He even went so far as to find the tail lights with the blue center dot. He kept the stock engine though, just rebuilt it. Back when I was about 14 or 15 my buds older brother souped up a 47 Ford and put in a big motor, although I don't know what it was. It had a 3 speed column shift and to be "fancy" he put a chrome ball on the end of the shifter. He took the pair of us out one day to show us how fast the car was. Took off from a light screaming in 1st gear, then when he slammed it up into 2nd the chrome ball flew off and busted his windshield. Not sure what made him madder, whether it was him busting the windshield or us kids in the back seat laughing our fool heads off

That's another one of my favorite cars Dan, I worked with a fella that bought a brand new '64 convertible when they came out and still remember the day I 1st saw it. Red with black interior and just beautiful. I say it all the time, new cars are obviously much safer and more reliable than the "old days" but they sure as heck don't have near the style or pizzaz of years ago. Used to be a car would go down the street and you instantly new the year, the model and probably what engine was in it. Today they all look the same going down the road and I don't know if it's a Honda or a Rolls Royce

My current ride is a 2013 Lariat and is without doubt the best vehicle I've ever owned. I had a 2010 before this one but decided it was time to upgrade and get one pretty well fully loaded and it was well worth the money. Pulls my big ole glass boat like it's not even behind me. Out of all my previous vehicles though, and there's been alot over the years, the one I wish I still had was my 1965 Parisienne. I bought it in '68 when it was only 3 years old and it was mint. Mine was identical to this one 'cept it was green with white upholstery. I drove it it for 5 years then sold it but have kicked my butt for selling it ever since. They sure don't make them like this any more.

Saw a segment on TV, maybe 60 minutes, a couple years back and that's exactly what they were talking about, all the American seniors crossing into BC to pick up their cheap(er) meds.

I'm not disagreeing with you Cliff, I'm on your side and just saying 60 grand is far more than most could afford. I'm just wondering what the heck happens when folks don't have the $$$$ for these drugs. My wife needed a 10 day supply of drugs a couple months ago and it was $2600 and I thought that was terrible but at least OHIP picked up the tab for it.

That's insane Cliff, where the heck would anybody be able to come up with that amount every year.

And that's the problem Rick, she thinks she has a great life, just sit around on her fat lazy azz watching TV all day while the rest of the country works to pay taxes to give to her.

I've said it here before, but I have a 70 year old cousin who has been on welfare her entire life and has never worked one single day since she was born. She's never been married but has 6 kids with 6 different men and told me I was completely stupid to work for a living as welfare treats her very well. As far as she's concerned, welfare is just a normal way of life that pays her quite well and it's much easier than getting up every day and working your butt off.
