  1. Congrats on the PB's.....both of them !! That's a couple of very nice fish you landed.
  2. My wife recentely applied for a new Birth Certificate and it came by Purolator last week, and it's just a paper document. I'm like you Wayne, I've had my small, laminated, wallet sized card forever. Life used to be so much simpler.....
  3. Another option would be a long extension handle for your kicker motor. You could stand on the rear casting deck of your boat and control your small motor, both steering and throttle, while you continue fishing, and not have to worry about going to the console to steer the motor.
  4. Everything I've heard about those reels says their excellent Chris, and if your making the rod, it's guaranteed to match up perfectely. It'll be a great set-up !!
  5. Great video iceguy, it musta taken some time & effort to put all that together. Good stuff !!
  6. According to the OPP this summer, photocopies are perfectly legal and totally acceptible.
  7. Exactly what I do Wayne, photcopy the papers, put em in a ziplock and tape it to an inside compartment of the boat. I was stpped by the OPP twice this summer and both times the coppers said that was the best way to do it. Always accessible and always dry.
  8. Thanks for taking us along on another of your incredible trips, Moose. Great story as always !!
  9. Thanks Roy, but this new unit will be replacing the one on the console. I already have another unit on the bow now.
  10. I'm thinking of purchasing this sonar for my boat and wondered if anyone uses it and has any thoughts on this model, good bad or ugly. It'll be used in conjunction with my Lowrance Globalmap 7200C
  11. Thanks for the Quinte updates David, you've got those fish dialed in again this year.
  12. When my wife & I go downtown (Toronto) we pass by an old 3 story dilapidated house that seems to be a hangout for, let's say, folks you'd rather not have as neighbors, who spend most of their time sitting on the front porch & drinking strange liquids out of paper bags We drove by this place again yesterday afternoon and my wife was looking at it and made the comment that she was surprised nobody had burned the joint up yet. I opened this mornings paper and there it was.........yup, the joint burned up last night, only about 6 hours after her comment. Maybe it's time for the Mrs to go out and purchase a few extra lottery tickets
  13. I heard about that plan a couple months back Cory, and I agree with you, waking up in the woods and smelling the pine trees is much better than what their proposing. I live in Toronto and am against shipping our garbage elsewhere too. It'd be nice if we could all take care of our own crap rather than dumping it on someone else's doorstep.
  14. Great release shot Gbay, almost like that big girl is glaring back at you. Nuthin better than hooking big fish after dark !!
  15. Crestliner & Merc for me
  16. Not buying anything at the moment Ted, but I'm thinking of possibly up-grading my sonar next year and am just getting some ideas. Seems like RadioWorld has some excellent prices though, infact their Lowrance 510c is the exact same price as Cabellas.
  17. Thanks for your help guys, that's the place I was thinking of. Sorry for the wrong location.
  18. Hey boyz, there's a store at 400 & Finch that sells marine electronics, sonars & GPS etc. but I can't recall the name of it......anyone know who I mean ?? Much appreciated
  19. Gad, that things a brute Glen !!
  20. Very proud of you kiddo & there's always a place at my picnic table for you
  21. My trim gauge hasn't worked all year, but I'm not concerned with it. Once your accustomed to your boat, you can trim it to the best postion just by feel.
  22. I'd suggest changing the oil in the lower unit and running gasoline stabilizer thru the engine before putting it away for the winter.
  23. I bought my FishHawk new in '99 and it's as good today as the 1st day it hit the water. Crestliners are excellent boats and you'll never be sorry you bought it.
  24. Matt, for a 4 stroke, just remove the spark plugs and spray a bit directly into the cylinders, then replace the plugs. Hit the key just enough to move the pistons abit to coat the walls and your done. Don't forget to change the oil filter when you change the oil.
  25. Welcome aboard JR, you'll enjoy your time here. You dad is a long standing & valued member of OFC and I'm sure you will be too.
