  1. The new medical building in Lakefield has handi-capped parking Norm, but they still have to pay $2 to use it. To me, that's going just a bit too far.
  2. Jeeez, and I thought we had it bad with some ice on the deck this morning and the few passing flurries we've been having today. Now I don't feel so bad
  3. Thank ya Sir, I'll watch for them.
  4. I've always said bass were easy to catch, but never thought it was THAT easy
  5. Nice fattie for sure Bob. It'll be November before I see the river though.
  6. That picture was actually taken the same day I picked up the rod. It's not quite so clean now
  7. I wanted a new musky rod for bucktails & spinnerbaits last year so I got myself an 8' MH St. Croix Legend Tournament and paired it up with a Calcutta TE. I used it all of last season and can honestly say it's the nicest musky pole I've ever used and just it feels right to me. Don't know if it has anything to do with the split grip or not, but it sure is sweet. The balance & weight is absolutely perfect.
  8. I watch Musky Hunter, but other than that I never turn on WFN Far too much pushing of sponsors products for me.
  9. Every small step forward is a step in the right direction. Great to hear about the improvements and thanks for letting us know of the progress.
  10. That old Rocket is pretty slow Wayne, but not really much more than trying to drive a car thru all that crazy traffic everyday.
  11. A few years back my mom was in Toronto General for quite awhile. I was living in Toronto at the time and used to go visit her everyday but it was costing me a fortune to park my truck. I hadn't used the TTC in decades but decided it was time to start again. It wasn't really as bad as I thought it would be and it sure saved alot of money over the time she was there and I never felt like I was being robbed every time I had to pay.
  12. Now you've done it Roger
  13. Absolutely Wayne My on-board charger is a rather $$$$ MinnKota that works great 99 % of the time, but if I have a very long day on the water and run the 2 deep cycles way down the darned thing won't do anything. I have to get out the old portable charger to get them started. Pain in the butt really.
  14. I believe you and I experienced exactly that 1st hand last August Art

Yes Joey, it really is nice. And your right Shaun, it's like the 401 for critters thru here sometimes
  17. This pretty lady was in the back yard at 8:30 this morning. Always a nice way to start the day.
  18. I like it Mike, very nice !!
  19. Yup, I definitely think it's too hot for a dog when the summer sun is beating down on it. When I can't stand on in my bare feet, I for sure wouldn't force my dog to be on it without some protection from the heat. But that's only my opinion.
  20. I once had a boat with a vinyl floor and while it's easy to keep clean I found it just too hot for my liking. I fish in my bare feet alot and just couldn't do it in that boat. Another consideration is if you take a dog in the boat with you, you'll need to put down a blanket for him. Other than that, their OK, but my preference is definitely with carpet..
  21. We have white cabinets in our kitchen with a white floor and went with black granite counter tops and it looks really outstanding. You get some choices on the style of edges you want cut into the granite Rob, and also different ends, so be sure to see all they have to offer.
  22. Thanks Jacques, that's a bit different than I normally do but it seems to work well. And your right Drew, it's not always necessary to fix things that ain't broke
  23. Yup, and it's been a long and fun trip ever since Rich !!
  24. Nothing outstanding about those fish, but the one on the right was the 1st musky I ever caught about 4 decades ago. Sadly in those days it was normal to kill the fish and have it mounted. It's the only one out of many though that I ever intentionally killed. Here's a picture of it when we got back to shore and the 2nd picture was when I got it back from the taxidermist. The musky in the middle was caught by accident by my wife about 20 years ago while she was looking for pickerel off the end of the dock for breakfast and it died before she could get the hook out. A friend of mine is a taxidermist so he mounted it for her. The bass was one that died when the hook tore the gills so My friend mounted it for practice many years ago.
