i saw 3 hummers out on the lake going FAST along with HUNDREDS of trucks / cars not to mention atv/sleds... its a zoo out there

wow amazing ! me and a couple buddies were also staying in a bungalow in the south shore area over the weekend.... the bite was SLOWWWWW .. but we managed 5 walleye all under the slot 12-15 inches and some dinky perch... a couple bungalows over landed a 14 lb pike on sat also ...good to see the big boyz around

I have a 2001 Honda Foreman 450es Its a great machine BUT the next bike i buy will have 4 wheel disc brakes. Hondas Drum brakes are terrible and are nothing but a hassle. I know the newer hondas have front discs and rear drums which is better and IND rear susp.... which i want Id stay away from Polaris and cheap aftermarket brands. yami/honda/kawi/suzuki are all i would look at

i have fished there multiple times and the basic live bait rig works best or a williams with a minnow attached... Very simple techniques

heat packs work decent but battery operated socks are crap .. or atleast the 2 types ive tried... both didnt do a thing.... I wouldnt drive my car on the ice with ATLEAST 12 inches of ice.. buts thats just me

I have stayed with Johns Bungalows on Temagami and he was nice and the huts were decent but WE CAUGHT 0 fish.... Yes 0 ..... that was a 3 day trip.... we caught some ling at night but thats just annoying if anything... it wasnt just us... all of the bungalows got skunked while we were there... the 2nd last day we took his auger and drove around looking for some spots ... we found a spot and caught 6 lakers that afternoon so the trip ended on a high note....Im sure it was just bad hut placement that year ( 2 years ago ) .. well i hope atleast Rob Hyatts is booked Solid for a while .( weekends ) might have openings during the week...Good luck and have fun !

they are not required but id recommend it....couple guys around us were using plastics and maggets and we out produced them all with some liveily minnows... the jumbos liked them on saturday

I have one that i use for ice fishing...does the job as long as i keep the vents open

i kept 20 between 2 people today (over 9 inches today) and that was More than enough Cleaning for one afternoon

Hey all, Made my first trip of 07 on cooks. Slept in and made our way on the ice for 9 am. Packed up all the gear and headed out.... Noticed a couple people driving their cars and LARGE TRUCKS on the ice.... no comment stayed with one pack of huts for the first half of the day and did wel... Lots of small ones ( we only keep fish over 9') but managed 10 keepers including one MONSTER 14 incher ! ..Biggest perch i have ever seen ! Slowed down in the afternoon so we moved out away from the pack and had some great action!!! 10 more keepers and we were on our way home.... Had the new Finder with me and never even bother to set it up...lol No need.... perch were everywhere ! ! A couple pics from today
