  1. Welcome aboard Matt. I always did well in skool. A few bucks will go a long way. A coupla pics of the skool director dressing a sheep in a nightgown don't hurt either.
  2. Lots of examples of private waters. Think of Scugog South of the causway for example. There's lots of waterways in Canada to fish on and explore. I don't feel like bothering folks who don't want me there.
  3. And a happy belated birthday to you too, Pikehunter. I didn't know. But now I do! I hope you had a great one and many more to come.
  4. I know that you don't want anybody to know but hey....it's your Birdie. You're the same age as my oldest hahahahahaha. Happy Birthday Son...hope you have the bestest day and poor Leah didn't work her fingers to the bone rolling those pennies for your present. Be well, friend.
  5. Good evaluation, Garry. Coming from you, I know it's not just hearsay but advice from someone who knows reels. Thanks.
  6. I'm due for a decent walleye rod and those Kistlers look and sound pretty good but I think I'll ask my Bud Spiel to make me one if he has the time.
  7. Your and Dan's supper is simmering as we speak. Looking forward to a visit.
  8. Shave and a haircut....two bits!
  9. I've been looking at the Johnny Morris reels as well. I'd also be interested in our members' feel for them.
  10. Roy

    Tourney!!!

So far, it's been ongoing for 3 years.
  11. Sturgeon have been around longer than humans have. They also outlive humans. If you like livin', purdy isn't always the way to go.
  12. Nice clean fish but it really does make your hands look big. Thanks for posting.
  13. Morning Memart. I'd go with a base unit. Some portables are spotty enough that you can just barely communicate with vessels that are within visual range. Portable units are great when connected to long, good quality antenas but in my opinion, that just defeats the purpose of portability. As it IS a security item you also don't risk forgetting the portable "in another coat" when you really need it out on the water. If you're still hell bent on getting a handheld, you might want to PM Wayne (Irishfield). He has experience in maximizing a handheld unit's range. Good luck, hope it works out for you.
  14. Nice motor! Vaughan Mills carries them in stock but check for availability before you go because there are different models. Good luck.
  15. We still have 10+ feet of 'Spring' all around the house.
  16. You're right Dan. There's no mystery with pike. Anything that moves...or even doesn't move.
  17. The site says they're available at Vaughan Mill, Bud. I dunno.
  18. Comon sense is not unique to folks living North of the Mason-Dixon line.
  19. HAHAHAHA I remember that picture, Joey. The Dawg's just laughing cause I was sitting at the foot of the bed holding up a rectal thermometer to make him smile for the camera.
  20. Yup, even a skunk day would still have been a great day spent with your father. Thanks for sharing. Beauty laker there.
  21. While we're on the subject of lines. You folks who buy PowerPro, be careful as there seems to still be some counterfeit stock moving around. Check their site out to give you an idea of what to look for. http://www.powerpro.com/press/news/details...RESS_NEWS_ID=23
  22. HAHAHAHAHA Good eye there M'Lady!
  23. Thanks for posting Brian. You do what you have to do, Bud.I know that lots were worried about you here though. Be well me son.
  24. HOLY COW! I mean HOLY BUCK! Just a beautiful animal. Would love to see that! Thanks for posting Sam.
  25. So if my calculations are correct, trolling for an hour would put my bait 1.1 miles behind the boat. Makes sense to me....
