  1. Yeah I remember that Brian. Man were they ever cheering loud that night! And with good reason too. Afterall, they had made it to 18th place in a league of 30 teams!!!! :-)
  2. Decent place to fish for sure. Two things to consider though. Walleye and pike both open the 16th of May. Also, that early in the year (you'll be the first batch of guests) there's a very good possibility of being iced in...especially this year. Stay in touch with them.
  3. If it was my boat, I'd PM Uncle Buck. He can fix you up.
  4. That's wonderful news, Rick. You'll surely have a much sounder sleep tonight too.
  5. Welcome aboard Greg. Looking forward to your input. ps. Who wants to bet Greg's already PM'd Dano for a date.
  6. Yeah, that's an old one Stoty. It was caught on Lake of the Woods by a Dutch immigrant. But thanks for sharing.
  7. Happy belated to ya Bud. At 19 you have a real good chance of doing a whole lot of great things in your life. Go for it!
  8. Thanks Cliff and Carole.
  9. Back later. Speak quietly amongst yourselves.
  10. Sorry to hear about your lost reel, Elusive. Hope you get it back. There might be a silver lining to your dark cloud though. If there were any distinguishing marks on your Islander, watch the board for reports. Apparently, pinboys cannot take a pic of a fish without the reel having a very prominent place in the pic.
  11. Nice RF. Thanks for posting. Maybe the next time you should blank out the deer in case one of the pinboys recognise them. I hope you know I'm kidding.
  12. You're quick, Dawg.
  13. I'm busy right now looking after some important little people. I'll be back later to look after the children here.
  14. I think Kickingfrog said it best. Thanks Rob.
  15. Have a good time out there tonight guys. We're expecting a pictorial essay. HINT: Pics should probably be taken early in the evening.
  16. Wait a little while longer. Nate should be around with help.
  17. Thanks Bill. There are all kinds of topcoats you can use for baits. A lot of the pros use 2-ton epoxy. I use either 2 part crystal resin or Vitra-Laque. The guys at tackleunderground.com are very helpful and there's a ton of info on there. Good luck.
  18. We'll be thinking good thoughts here for your brother, Rick. Be well.
  19. NORM!!!! Happy Happy day to you my friend! Just have the best day, Bud. As for luck, well you have Maribeth and so, you just can't have much better luck than that. Be well.
  20. I actually was able to get all the sanding done Thursday night and into the wee hours. Was able to start the coats friday morning after vacuuming everything and damp mopping the walls/ceiling/fireplace etc...No dust. Or very little. Ha! You're quicker than I am Mike.
  21. I really like that look Bernie. You did super. Lose the fan
  22. Thanks folks. You're very kind. Bernie I can't lift 500lbs. Got J to do it.
  23. Well, I too had a long weekend this weekend but I could not get out of the house. I had to move furniture out of the den (up a few stairs). Then sand the floor. I tell you, wood dust does not hold a candle to freshair. Then did four coats of urethane. Then painted and installed new wood trim. Then the wonderful job of putting everything back in place without scratching the floor. One piece is 500lbs empty....down two steps onto the new floor. It's bad enough just moving it around on old floors. But, once I'd donned my Wilie Coyote hat and sat at the drawing board, I was able to calculate angles of departure, leverages and whatnot. OH, and being the techno wizard that I am, was able to re-connect all the video/adio stuff in less that an hour this morning. (Now THAT alone was worth a beer.) I know it's a terrible pic but it's the only one I took today. The only saving grace for me this weekend that was at least fishing related was that between coats of urethane, I was able to get a little work in on some muskie baits. I would have gladly traded places with any of you guys on the tribs or anywhere else fishing this weekend. And it certainly wasn't as glamorous as Bernie's beauty ceiling job.....
  24. RAM make some great camera mounts. The question had to do with a trophy muskie though. I think it would be touch and go for even an expert to do within the 10 second delay.
  25. Everytime I see that name I always think that some Einstein cut the words "FIGht RIGht". I wonder if that's what it is.
