  1. Some good size to those fish Doug, way to go. Do you do a lot of back trolling? Are you happy with the wave whackers?
  2. Good stuff! I see his uncle is keeping a watchful eye on him. Those are always great memories for the youngsters. The Princecraft is looking good...are you happy with it?
  3. hahahahaha Don't be exposing your dock, eh?
  4. Well I read this twice last night and again this morning. Very enjoyable, Mike. Fantastic documentation of your trip with the family. Methinks Messrs. Brodhagen will need to build additional accomodations for the onslaught. Thank you for taking the time to post it to our community.
  5. Looks like a really nice day for you guys. Sunshine and topwater bass. Maybe Jim knows something about this. I don't fish bass very often but when I do, top water is what I like. I have a bunch of spooks...small, large, old and new. I'm finding that the newer ones have a tendency to take on water enough that after 3-4 casts the bait won't float high enough and will no longer 'walk'. Is he getting that too? The older ones that I have are still flawless after many years of use. I can probably fix the problem with a little epoxy in the right place but I hate repairing new, out of the box baits.
  6. You still have bragging rights but you lost.
  7. I'm still using my old Wetskins suit and I now know how they came up with that name.

Mike, I looked at these photos last night and I still haven't come up with appropriate adjectives/superlatives to do them justice. You're one of a kind and I, as well as most everyone in this community are grateful that you post your photos here. Thank you Bud.
  9. GPS units are almost indispensable on the water nowadays. I run Lowrance and I'm happy with their products. There's one thing that most folks no longer consider and that's GPS failure. As a reliable backup, get yourself a quality compass and if you don't already know, learn how to use it. It'll save your azz on land or sea. Just sayin'.
  10. Nice Brian but there's another little thing you should look at.....if you're using two different size blades, always put the small blade at the front. The way yours are set up, the larger blade at the front will stop the rear smaller blade from turning. That's why spinnerbaits always have the small blade at the front. BTW, I make mine 3' to 4' long with a small swivel at the front.
  11. Congrats to you, Gerritt. I'm glad things are shaping up for you.
  12. Great! Now you can sell your house.
  13. Don't say that...Lew is one of the smilingest people I know!
  14. Mike, your reports are worth waiting for. I'm as patient as possible for them. Take your time, you're a busy dude...don't be rushed. When I see that you have a report up, I'll make a pot of coffee and read it several times over. Thanks for the pleasure of posting it here.
  15. If the place you got your boater's card from is out of business, you're outta luck. You'll need to take another test. There is no registry.
  16. I don't wannna rush ya Mike, but I've had my clothes off for a long time waiting for this one.
  17. Great report Joey. Your pictures are always so good. I'll see you and Paul on the West Arm the first week of August. I'm really looking forward to this.
  18. AHHHHHHH A Borger report.....what could be better? Glad you had a great trip, Mike.
  19. Someone had better jump on this. I'm working then so I can't go. Grab it. the place is perfect, the price is great and you can trust Doug. Dang I wish I could go.....
  20. I think you're right, Cliff.

  22. Terry or Irishfield should be able to help you here. Good luck.
  23. Very, very nice Chris! Congrats to you. I can see a trip to Nipigon very soon in your future!
  24. Good on ya! Thanks for the report.
  25. My son's boat is powered by a 40HP YANMAR. Dry weight is 9 tons. Impressive craft but it's something that I can no longer handle by myself. Not my kind of boat...it's just too much work.
